"Wonderful company, amazing results! Dirty Blinds cleaned and did minor repairs to the blinds we "inherited" when we bought our home. The blinds were filthy and not in the best of shape. You should replace your blinds every six to eight years, depending on the level of wear and tear and material of your blinds. But if you don’t keep up with regular cleaning or have pets that drag in mud and shed all over the house, you might need deep cleaning two or three times a year.

If you want to eliminate all light from your room, try installing a very dark tinted film and then putting up blackout shades over the entire window.
