"The job went very well. Michale arrived as promised and his crew worked on the patio job until done, no interruptions. The patio turned out great. We have him lined up for 2-3 more “projects” this fall. So refreshing to have found such a good landscaper."

"Youve heard of a jack of all trades, but you cant be sure youve met one until you hire this man. He doesnt just do a job, he makes art. He took the time to communicate about EVERYTHING we wanted and delivered with nothing less than what we asked for. He even went above and beyond hand cutting and measuring the wood to deliver a truly clean flush look to our yard. Our family is so beyond happy with the way our fence looks as well as the security it provides for our newborn and our dogs. He was one man, but he got it done in less than a week and he was the person directly discussing what he would be doing as he was doing it. We fully intend to hire him next year for our next big project, and you should definitly consider him for yours."

"Needed fencing installed to keep groundhogs from taking up residence under our deck. Brady came up with a creative and complete solution that made sure the varmints were out and would not return. Would use again."

"I had them come out an do a paver driveway! They had quoted me on the cheaper side being 10,000 so I was skeptical. But they delivered quality work at a unbeatable price! I will be calling them back to do more work I highly recommend them!"

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

If you use the wrong plants for your gardening zone, you’ll likely get less than desirable yields from them. In some cases, your plants can even die. It’s important to ensure that your plants are able to survive in your hardiness zone before getting them into the ground.

A half inch above ground level is ideal for metal edging. This provides enough depth for the edging to hold in place and enough height to keep in most landscaping materials (like mulch or gravel). If you install edging too high off the ground, it will stand out from your landscaping and pose a tripping risk. If you install it too low, your ground cover won’t stay in place.

If you want to take your tree-planting hobby beyond your outdoor space, here are a few great ways to do it:

  • Encourage your neighbors to participate in the Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree City USA program, which has a four-step framework that helps communities grow and maintain their own tree cover.

  • Support businesses that plant trees.

  • Lobby your local government to plant more trees around your community.

  • Donate to a tree-planting charity.

Grass is the most popular and safest option for planting over a septic drain field, but you can also plant small flowering plants and other lightweight plants that don’t have woody or deep roots. Avoid trees and bushes within 10 feet of the field, as the woody roots can crack the perforated pipes. You should also avoid planting vegetable or fruit gardens over your drain field, as a leak from the pipes could contaminate the soil and put anyone who eats the produce at risk.

While there are over 400,000 different flowering plants worldwide, there are five main types of flowers. These flower types are based on their lifecycles, giving each type a unique personality. These types are:

  • Annuals, which complete their entire life cycle within a single growing season.

  • Perennials, which the tops die off in the winter but regrow in spring.

  • Biennials, which complete their entire life cycle within two years.

  • Hybrids, which exhibit either annual or perennial behaviors depending on location

  • Flowering shrubs, which are small to medium-sized perennial woody plants, such as shrubs or evergreens.
