I was very impressed with the precision of their carpentry work. Cutting the plywood panels and fitting them under our house, pouring the concrete barriers, and doing all the other remedial work was made very difficult by the very steep slope on which our house stands. But Rusty didn't let that stop him. When they were finished they hauled away all the debris and left the site clean and neat. They gave us a 3-year warranty against any further wildlife intrusion. In summary...I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Asheville Wildlife Removal to anyone who is having a problem with wildlife intrusion into their home and would also recommend them for a Point of Happiness honor. The start date was July 1st 2013, by mid November the job still was not done. About 4 of the 16 to 18 weeks can be accounted for by rain delay. It quickly became apparent, the Contractor (Cory West) was not experienced with pouring and stamping concrete. It's just common sense that concrete must be poured with about 2 hours of the time the truck arrives or it starts to harden in the truck. The pour for the patio took 2 trucks of concrete. He had the 2 trucks arrive at the job at 9:00 and then had them wait till 11:30 before he started the pour. The concrete in the second truck was Hot, (starting to harden in the truck), he had them pour it anyway. The pour was terrible and took 2 men with grinders about a week to resurface the pattern in the concrete. the color was wrong and never was made right. The drive way was also poured "HOT" and the surface was very rough and full of imperfections. We has asked for a pale green earth tone color, he colored it bright blue. It looked like the bottom of a swimming pool. "IF HIS LIPS ARE MOVING HE'S LYING" After weeks of delays, excuses and flat out lies, he told us: "It looks awesome to me and I'm done" Today is 12/4/2013 and we are still dealing with another contractor to redo the concrete and try to save the job. It will cost about an additional $8000 to $10,000 to fix the mess left by Cory West and his band of Gypsies. Do not let this man on your property for any reason !!!!! First he inserted dial indicators into some of the holes to detect motion and then injected polyurethane into other holes. One by one, it was a slow process. We did not ask him to lift or level our floor, only to fill the voids and stabilize the soil under the slab. He did an excellent job by injected only enough material to "just" indicate motion without actually lifting. When finished they filled the holes with patching concrete so that they can not be easily seen, almost invisible. No more hollow sounds or vibration in the slab. Do not let James Mathew’s anywhere near your concrete floors! He completely ruined the concrete overlay that he poured and then ghosted me. Fortunately I only paid for materials but this was an absolute disaster. The floor looked so bad when it was done that I have to start from scratch with...

FAQs for concrete finishing projects in Lake Lure, NC
Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.
The average cost of stamped concrete is around $12 per square foot, but you might pay anywhere from $8 to $28 per square foot. The average 12-foot by 12-foot patio costs $1,730 on average. Your exact pricing will depend on the patio’s square footage, the condition of the area where you want to pour the concrete, the desired stamp pattern, concrete coloring, concrete grade, and local labor prices. Don’t forget to budget for extra costs like land preparation and additional concrete fortifications if necessary.
Depending on the cost to repair your driveway, it may be more cost effective to tear out and replace it with a new concrete driveway. The cost to repave a driveway ranges between $1,400 and $12,100, including removal of the old concrete. Contact a reputable concrete contractor for advice and an estimate. They may have a good reason for going with repairs or replacement after assessing your driveway. You may also have the option to resurface your driveway or pave over it without taking out the existing one.
It’s possible to create stamped concrete yourself, but we don’t recommend it and it’s often not cost-effective. It’s easy to mess up the pattern of a stamped concrete patio or walkway, leaving you with an unsightly home exterior rather than the elegant solution you wanted. Any mistakes made during the ground leveling and concrete pouring process will also increase the risk of cracks forming on your concrete. Additionally, buying enough stamps to get the pattern in before your concrete cures can cost as much as hiring a professional to do the work for you.
Concrete contractors typically charge anywhere from $6 to $14 per square foot. Cost factors include job size, site prep, base material, accessibility, your location, concrete finish, and concrete thickness. Removal of existing concrete, asphalt, deck, pavers, and grass will cost anywhere from $1 to $6 per square foot. Homeowners can often save money by removing and disposing of existing pavers, decks, and grass. Breaking up and hauling away concrete and asphalt is difficult and time-consuming without the proper equipment and may be worth having the pros do that work.
