Onmipresent Greening

The job was never completed. The start date was July 1st 2013, by mid November the job still was not done. About 4 of the 16 to 18 weeks can be accounted for by rain delay. It quickly became apparent, the Contractor (Cory West) was not experienced with pouring and stamping concrete. It's just common sense that concrete must be poured with about 2 hours of the time the truck arrives or it starts to harden in the truck. The pour for the patio took 2 trucks of concrete. He had the 2 trucks arrive at the job at 9:00 and then had them wait till 11:30 before he started the pour. The concrete in the second truck was Hot, (starting to harden in the truck), he had them pour it anyway. The pour was terrible and took 2 men with grinders about a week to resurface the pattern in the concrete. the color was wrong and never was made right. The drive way was also poured "HOT" and the surface was very rough and full of imperfections. We has asked for a pale green earth tone color, he colored it bright blue. It looked like the bottom of a swimming pool.                                                                "IF HIS LIPS ARE MOVING HE'S LYING"
After weeks of delays, excuses and flat out lies, he told us: "It looks awesome to me and I'm done"
Today is 12/4/2013 and we are still dealing with another contractor to redo the concrete and try to save the job. It will cost about an additional $8000 to $10,000 to fix the mess left by Cory West and his band of Gypsies.
