They were explicit about costs and available rebates. We were instructed to apply for a rebate from our local energy supplier and they literally walked us through the time specific rebate procedure. We made some minor changes to their standard contract and they accepted those changes without question. I can only assume their work will be up to these standards when we do the actual installation."

A ceiling fan that pushes warm air down or pulls cold air up, depending on the season, can easily counteract temperature issues. Additionally, certain types of heating do better in these homes than others. For example, heated floors tend to be more practical and energy efficient than baseboard heating.

Duct insulation typically has a long lifespan, often exceeding 10 to 15 years. However, periodic inspections are crucial to check for signs of damage, wear, or deterioration. If you notice issues such as torn or water-damaged insulation, it may be time for replacement or repairs. Additionally, consider upgrading insulation if you're looking to improve energy efficiency or enhance your HVAC system's performance.

There are many reasons one bedroom may be hotter than the rest of the house. The sun will quickly heat a south-facing bedroom with a large window, especially if it lacks quality curtains.
