Customers say: Quick response

"Mike did an incredible job. Honest guy at a very reasonable price. We were in the middle of a job change and having a new baby so I really didn't have the ability to manage the day-to-day progress. Mike's team took care of everything and we now spend all day out on our new porch!"

"Juan was very easy to work with. They showed up on time and actually finished it earlier than quoted. They price was very good and they did a great job! We had a lattice fence built around the crawlspace of our house. Used quality wood and did a very professional job. I will definitely use them again."

"We purchased the deal for four hours of spring yard cleanup.  Since there were two men, they worked for two hours.  We discussed the yard and I told them I wanted them to remove the fallen branches and work on our massively overgrown ivy for the remaining time to see if they could clear it back a little.  They worked quickly and efficiently and managed to clear just about the whole backyard!  We were exceedingly pleased with what they were able to accomplish in so short a time.  In addition, they made some good suggestions for landscaping solutions for the backyard.  Considering the low price we made, we found it an exceptional value.

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Generally, snow removal from a roof should occur once over six inches of snow accumulates, especially if you notice that ice dams have formed. Without ice dams, you can let the snow accumulation hit 12 inches before removing it. However, the amount of snow that is too much for your roof also depends on the sturdiness of your roof and the compactness of the snow. If your roof needs maintenance or has structural issues, it’s best not to let the snow accumulate too much for fear of collapsing.

Whether or not an annual snow removal contract is worth it depends mainly on location. If you live in an area with frequent heavy snowfall, a yearly contract could be better than paying per clearing. If you live in an area where it only snows a few times a year, paying per snowstorm may be a better option.

It’s the reverse of home de-winterization. To winterize, you purge your plumbing system (including your water heater and all piping) of water. Some experts also recommend filling fixtures with an antifreeze solution. Other tasks involve winterizing sprinklers, sealing foundation vents, check weatherproofing around doors and windows, and more.

Using a snow blower can make removing snow easier if you have physical limitations and a large area to cover. Snow blowers can remove large amounts of snow quickly, which can also save you time. However, shoveling can be efficient for smaller areas with light snow. The method you use will depend on the specific situation and your preference. Of course, you can skip doing it yourself and stay out of the cold by hiring a snow removal company near you.

The easiest way to remove snow from a roof involves using a roof rake that allows you to clear snow from the ground. Roof rakes are lightweight and feature adjustable handles, making them user-friendly for most people. This method also helps prevent ice dams and excess snow buildup, reducing the risk of roof damage during winter months.

When should you remove snow from your roof? A good rule of thumb is once six inches of snow accumulates.
