Welcome to the future of real estate valuation solutions with Akrivis. We combine innovation and evolving technology with our exclusive network of photography contractors to deliver accurate real estate valuations in less than five days. No stress, no fuss, just fast and reliable property values.

"Hired to do valuation of a manufactured home - not on land. Gave appraisal comparison properties included land. therefore not an accurate valuation. Thought salesperson understood nuance. "

"Beware of this company. Don't trush them with your business because they are not a legitimate company. They only want fees on top of fees, I am a landlord that cares about my tenant and this company has no type of consideration personality trustworthiness. I started out wanted to use them signed a contact to do business with them on 1/1 and unfortunately I had to cancel due to a death in my rental property and they still charged me and they changed the activation date from 12/31 to 12/1 without my knowledge of knowing it was changed when signed the contract they had to make minor change to contract for me but when I signed the contract didn't scroll up yo see what else they changed without my knowledge. My contract was supposed to start 1/1 I canceled before 12/31 what was 1st agreement now I have to pay for a service I didn't receive I'm telling you beware of this company. I do not want anyone to get stuck like I did. Really check their references unfortunately I didn't. Dignity Honesty trustworthiness is what I believe in. Which you do not provide. You haven't done anything that deserves a fee. Pay for what services? Lease didn't even start yet and you want to charge me. Beware of this company. They are not honest. That's all I have to say.. I'm a Landlord and I advise people to do more research on this company before they handle your business. They really want to charge me after they changed dates on agreement without telling me. When you treat people unfairly you don't grow.. Greed gets you no where. Charging me 151.00? For email calls and a certified letter to tenant. Landlord's and tenants beware.. research"

Real Estate Agents questions, answered by experts

Yes, hiring a real estate agent is worth it. Many homeowners make the mistake of trying to sell their homes by themselves, thinking that they’ll save money on the commission, but what they save on the commission, they very often pay for in frustration and concessions on the sale price. Hiring a real estate agent to handle the sale of your home not only makes the process far easier and takes the burden off of you, but most homeowners get more for their homes when going through an agent because of the marketing and salesmanship they bring to the table.

Avoid using a home equity loan for non-essential or short-term expenses like vacations, luxury purchases, or temporary financial fixes. It’s best to reserve home equity loans for long-term investments, such as home improvements, that can add value to your property or financial position.

While parts of the appraisal are out of your control, there are some things you can do to potentially raise the home’s value. You can make necessary repairs and upgrades before the appraiser visits—an appraiser can only value what is currently part of the home, not its potential. You can also provide the appraiser with the cost of recent upgrades. The appraiser will likely increase the value of your home by about 50% or more of what you paid for those improvements.

Several government-backed lending programs can help first-time home buyers purchase a home with little money down. FHA, USDA, and VA loans are options for qualifying borrowers, though many conventional mortgage lenders will lower down payment rates to as low as 3 percent.

If you’re selling a home and the appraisal comes in lower than an offer, you’re effectively getting more for your home than it’s worth. If you’re a buyer, it means you may be overpaying. Some buyers may try to reduce their offer amount to match the appraisal, but if they signed an agreement already at the offer price and the agreement didn’t make the sale contingent on the appraised value, there’s often no option to negotiate. Keep in mind that a low appraisal may push your loan-to-value ratio too high, meaning a lender may not give you a mortgage.
