"They are very professional and knowledgeable in their field. Derion was so helpful in suggesting a best countertops for my needs. The install with Kyle and Max was a breeze. They did a beautiful job and cleaned up everything when they finished. Everyone was super friendly and answered all my questions, and I asked plenty! Lol"

Small jobs welcome

"Josh has done several projects for me over several months. My home was missing screens for several windows and cabinet doors for the bookshelves in my living room. He crafted both the screens and the cabinet doors. He's also helped out with several other projects. I'm pleased with the work and would recommend him to others. He's prompt, friendly, and responds quickly to calls and texts."

"Several times we asked Peter if he had a Superman outfit hidden under his work attire. For every problem we encountered during the bathroom remodel, Peter had a solution. Every time we asked "Can we do this?" he answered "We can do whatever you want." He was so easy-going and always in a good mood. He turned a dated bathroom into a 5-star hotel experience. Peter did such a good job for us that we are planning to use his services again for a new deck. Thanks to Peter and his amazing wife/manager Piper!"

"Trevor replaced the laminate on my kitchen counters. The bid was great and his work was professionally done on time. His Dad was in town and helped with the installation. Both were great gentlemen and the work was completed on time. They cleaned everything up after they finished and all that was left was a beautiful countertop."

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

The resin should be periodically sealed to help prevent it from wearing down or becoming porous. Very sharp or very hot objects can damage the resin surface, and there’s no way to fully repair it if that happens, so we recommend treating the counters well.

There are several significant differences between laminate and quartz countertops. Quartz is much pricier than laminate but can last for decades, while laminate lasts around 15 years. Laminate can’t be repaired or resealed and is easier to damage than quartz, which can be repaired. Both quartz and laminate are prone to heat damage. Usually, the choice comes down to your budget.

No, you shouldn’t put hot pans on solid surface countertops because they’re only heat-resistant up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Play it safe and use trivits to prevent damage.

Concrete countertops should be sealed every one to three years, depending on the type of sealer used and the level of use your countertops get. For instance, hardworking kitchens will need yearly sealing. Sealing is important because it protects the surface from stains, moisture, and daily wear. Monitoring the countertop for signs of wear can help determine the ideal sealing schedule for your countertop.

Butcher block countertops typically last around 20 years, and sometimes longer, with proper maintenance. This lifespan is comparable to granite and longer than laminate. Key maintenance tasks include regular cleaning after every use and resealing, ideally once a month. You can also sand and resurface the countertops to remove imperfections like deep scratches, stains, dings, and scorch marks. The longevity is also affected by the thickness of the wood strips used in its construction; thicker strips are generally more durable.
