"They might be priced like any tree-cutting business, but P.J.'s Tree Services are worth every penny and more! P.J.'s crew expertly removed our sickly, approximately 80-100 ft tall, 50+ year-old Ponderosa pine growing very close to the house and a mostly dead birch next to a green hedge. On the scheduled day, P.J.'s Tree Services' truck got a flat tire. Despite this, they still showed up and, while having it fixed, did an amazing job! P.J.'s team is friendly, highly skilled, hard-working, and extra mindful of their surroundings. When the trees were gone, all the bushes and our house stood tall, and everything looked back to normal as if nothing happened. It typically takes three to five days to stain a fence, though most of that time is spent—literally—watching paint dry. The main issue is that you can’t stain a wet fence because the stain won’t sink into the porous grain of the wood. Wood stain is not flammable after it dries. The solvent in wood stain is what causes the liquid form to be highly flammable, but the stain drying process involves the solvents dissolving, which leaves behind a non-flammable product on your wood project. Wood stain is, however, flammable before you apply it, so you should always store partially full cans and used wood stain rags away from sources of heat and open flames.

For the best results, you should apply two coats of paint to your wrought iron fence. Let your first coat dry for about an hour then promptly apply your second coat.

A cedar fence will actually last quite a long time even if you don’t treat it with stain. In fact, you can expect to get between 15 and 30 years out of an untreated cedar fence. However, if you want to preserve its color and extend its life, treat it with a combination stain and sealer every three to five years.

Whether to brush or roll stain on wood depends on the project and your preference. Brushing is ideal for smaller, intricate areas and offers more control over the application, ensuring thorough coverage and penetration into the wood's grain. 

Conversely, rolling is efficient for more extensive, flat surfaces and can save time. However, it is not always the best fit for textured or uneven wood. Some projects may benefit from combining both methods, using a brush for detail work and a roller for broader areas.
