"Technician that did the work was knowledgeable and friendly. The price was the best I had found in our area. The technician heard some jewelry being sucked out of the vent and he left the material in a bucket for me to sift through and I found a lost earring. It took 3 hours to do 12 house vents and the dryer vent. Great Job!!"

Air Duct Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Ductwork will occasionally make noise as the metal experiences rapid temperature or air pressure changes. This is especially common when the furnace initially kicks on and pushes warm air into cold air ducts. However, this noise should not occur if the home is at a normal temperature most of the time. If you are hearing noises regularly, it may be a sign of a more serious problem.

AC evaporator coils should be cleaned at least once per year to keep your unit in good condition. For optimal performance, consider cleaning them twice a year—once before and once after the main cooling season. More frequent cleanings may be necessary for older systems, units with performance issues, or those in climates with high levels of humidity, dust, and dirt.

Whether air duct cleaning is worth the cost depends on your specific situation. While it hasn't been proven to prevent health issues, it can be beneficial for improving indoor air quality by reducing contaminants, which is especially important for households with members who have asthma or allergies. Cleaning is generally considered worthwhile if you notice visible mold growth, signs of a pest infestation, excess dust, or debris blowing from the vents. It is also recommended after a major home renovation. Additionally, if your ducts are dirty enough to leak air, cleaning and sealing them can improve your HVAC system's efficiency, ensuring the heated or cooled air reaches your living spaces and potentially leading to long-term savings.

Your floor sees a lot of action: foot traffic bringing in dirt from outside, pets with muddy paws, kids dropping food crumbs, and more. All of this makes your floors dirty, and if you don’t keep up with cleaning them, staying on top of the dirt will become more challenging.

If your HVAC system's capacity doesn't match the required CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute), imbalances can occur. An undersized system struggles to maintain desired temperatures, leading to discomfort. An oversized system might short-cycle, wasting energy and causing temperature fluctuations. Properly matching capacity to CFM ensures efficient and consistent heating, cooling, and home ventilation system performance.
