All I can say isI am very pleased.  I thought the idea of a service provider making a housecall was dead, I was certainly surprised and pleased when Allen showed up, early, and tried to fix it onsite.  My lawn tractor has already been out for a spin and is working fine, once again.  He is very punctual and polite, and very quick with his work.  The biggest plus for me is that he explained everything he did to the tractor before he left and showed me his numberon my invoice and told me to call if I needed anything.  I feel Allen's fees are quite reasonable and he has a customer until he retires.

Mower lacked power. Woodinville Mower serviced the mower, sharpened the blade and replaced a damaged plastic shield with a used part (good condition at great savings). Mower woks great!

  • SOUTH EUCLID HARDWARE INC

I have used South Euclid Hardware in the past and have been pleased. My lawn mower started acting up (would start but wouldn't stay running). I knew it was the carburetor, but didn't have time to fix it myself. I took it in and they gave me an estimate of ~5 business days. After 7 business days went by without a call, I finally called them and they told me that they had to order a complete carburetor kit. They went ahead and ordered it without notifying me (which ended up being fine as I would have had them do it anyway), but would have expected them to call me and tell me that (1) they were ordering it and inform me of the cost, and (2) that the repair was going to take longer than the original estimate. Finally a week later they called me and told me it was ready. I picked it up and tested it at the shop. Surprisingly, the mower still took 3-4 pulls to get it started (which I still continue to experience), but once it is running, it runs fine. Anyway, I would give them a B for the overall experience of the repair.

I got on the phone to Tractor Supply to get the serial # to see if this was our mower. The customer service agent was extremely helpful, she listened to the story. She asked if I would be willing to receive a call from Cub Cadet Corp. and Power Plus. She said they would call sometime that day. Which they did immediately. Power Plus took over the call. John had not called about any thing. Every item I told them about was cover with the warranty except the tune up. Then when I explained about who had bought the lawn mower, Esther is 84 years old. She bought the mower for Helene and I because the Sears Craftsman we used for eleven years finally wore out. We could not afford to buy another mower and it was Esther way to show her appreciation for mowing her yard at no charge. They refunded Esther the price of the mower and the cost of the warranty. However she had to eat the chargers of $183 from J&L. I hope this will help other people to beware!

One deliver guy came to the house, drove the tractor out of the garage and onto the trailer, he used one strap across the middle of the tractor to secure it.    Big John's call my parents a week later on June 6th and stated that it would cost $850.00 to fix the broken steering column, bent front wheel, replace belt and sharpen blades.  They told them that they would come down and look at the tractor.  On June 7th they went down to Big John's and they had totaled our tractor - the steering column was broken, you  could pick it up out of the tractor.  When  asked how this could have happened they were told that, that was the condition it was in when they picked it up that the delivery guy said it took two of them to lift it onto the trailer; yet there was only ONE deliver guy that came to the house and my parents are in the 80"s are not physically able to do that kind of lifting..  After arguing with Big John's,the manager said he would look into it and call them later that afternoon.  By Friday morning we still had not from Big John's so my son took my parents back down to discuss the matter and the deliver person had changed his story and said that yes he had driven it out of the garage and onto the trailer however it was difficult to do.  Then  the owner came out with the paperwork and said that when my mom called she told them the steering needed to be fixed, which was most definately not the case.   We have witnesses who saw that I was driving the tractor to mow and sweep the lawn a few days before Big John's came to pick it up. Big John's returned the tractor to our driveway and the matter is still not resolved.  We are in process of reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and taking them to small claims court.
