"Not good! Started on July 4, 2024. Was suppose to spray paint but they decided to hand paint. Was here to start at a reasonable time. Which soon changed. Painting was going good. Then the game plan changed. Doing paint & carpet removal at the same time. One was painting walls & ceiling while the other started on laying vinyl flooring. The one painting should've been way ahead of the other doing flooring. But no. Not given 7 or 8 hours a day when they would show up for a day to work. I would need to leave & when I arrived back home. I found brand new items I had purchased as gifts beening used by the workers on 2 different day's. I was upset! Neither one of them had asked me if it was okay! I had been telling them I didn't like the way the trim painting was looking & actually told them how to get those crisp lines around doorways & etc. They wouldn't listen & had sarcasm remarks! Beside of having sloppy painting when they were putting my beds back together they striped out the bolts on one bed frame & the antique bed frame isn't straight & rocks back n forth badly. The trim work is horrible!! Baseboards are not done right. They never laid one piece of masking tape down for the proper painting or use a putty scraper to get a straight line. Things that were talked about them doing didn't get done before the last day. And there was materials I bought that I didn't get a receipt for & I asked many times for them. Also materials I bought for the job that was taken by the workers when they packed up their tools they took the materials!"

If your leach field becomes clogged or saturated, it can cause several problems with your home's septic system. The clog can cause sewage to back up into your home, leading to unpleasant odors and mess. A backed-up septic system can be a health hazard, particularly if the sewage starts to leach into the ground surrounding the leach field.

There are several ways to fix a saturated drain field, including cleaning out your septic tank, adding enzymes and additives to your drain system, and installing a larger septic system.

Some of the biggest symptoms of a drain field failure include a foul stench, backed-up toilets and drains, and mushy grass or standing water on top of the drain field. Also, if the grass above your leach field starts suddenly growing faster and looks thicker or healthier than the rest of your lawn, it could be a sign that it isn’t getting rid of waste properly.

When septic systems begin to fail, your waste will start to seep into the groundwater. You may notice a foul odor (it’ll smell like sewage) or a squishy, moist lawn. The grass right over your tank or drain field might grow super lush and green because your waste actually fertilizes it. Other signs include standing water in your drain field, slow-draining sinks and tubs, and gurgling noises in the plumbing.

It only takes a few days for a septic tank to fill with water after a pro has pumped it. This is completely normal, and the water is a vital part of your septic system’s wastewater treatment process. The water that fills your tank days after pumping is not the same as the tank being filled with waste. You shouldn’t have to pump your septic system more than once every three to five years unless you have a tank that’s too small for your home’s water output or there’s a problem with your leach field. 

The best time of year to pump a septic tank is spring because the ground is thawed and snowmelt and rainfall can help with proper drainage. Having your septic tank pumped before the summer months is ideal to avoid conflicting with vacations and outdoor summer gatherings. Fall is also a great time to pump your septic tank, and it can be less busy for contractors than the spring.
