"Teresa came to my home within 2 hours of finding her on Angie's List. She brought a team of workers that worked well together. There were 2 instances of workers that we felt weren't as productive as I wanted, so Teresa replaced them. This project began with a garage full of boxes and several rooms of unpacked, disorganized household items. OCD had a systematic plan of attack, that took what was an overwhelming project for one overworked wife, to a manageable project with their help! After four days with OCD, I was able to host my first family gathering on the 4th of July. I still have a lot of work that needs to be done, but by and far, I would never have been able to get to this point alone. The things that need to be completed are neatly organized and labelled in boxes that I can work on at my leisure.

"I hired them to do repairs on my garage doors. I also needed two Auxx storage lifts installed, which they were able to do for me. The lifts work perfectly and were exactly what I needed for storage in an existing garage with no shelving and no "storeroom" attached. They were very professional, courteous, hard-working and timely. Would highly recommend."

"Billy and his two employees were amazing. They took about a 20 minute lunch break and other than that, they were moving constantly for the 4 1/2 hours it took them to move me about 2 miles. This impressed me since I was paying by the hour. The price was VERY reasonable for the amount of work that they did - which surprised me as I expected to pay 2X what I did. Nothing was scratched and nothing was broken. I would highly recommend them for anything that you need."

"After a tree fell on my home, I was so concerned about the amount of work that needed to be done and wondered who I could trust with the repairs. D & L FLOORING AND DESIGN, LLC came highly recommended and I cannot speak highly enough about the quality and efficiency of their work. They handled it all, including communicating with my insurance company to make my experience easier. I recommended them for any work and plan to use them for all of my future needs."

Small jobs welcome

"What a great experience! Thomas was so professional from start to finish. My fence was damaged in a storm and having dogs, I needed it repaired quickly. He was on a job when I requested a quote but he said he would contact me as soon as he was done for the day. He looked at the pics he requested and gave me a price. He came out the next day to look at it and decided he could repair instead of replace. He even salvaged and reused what wasnâ t damaged. He also cleaned the area when he finished. I will definitely use him again!"

Garage Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can pressure wash epoxy floors, but you must take precautions to avoid damaging the surface. While most epoxy floors can be cleaned with a mop, you might choose to pressure wash if the floor is stained, has ground-in dirt, or is covered with mold or mildew. To do so safely, first soak any stains or dirty areas with a gentle cleanser. Use a lower pressure setting with a gentle nozzle, such as a green, white, or black tip, or a 45-degree angled tip. Keep the spray nozzle at least 18 inches away from the floor to protect the surface. Using a surface cleaner attachment or a rotary scrubber can also help prevent overspray. Be cautious if using a power washer that heats the water, as the combination of heat and pressure may be too powerful and could damage the epoxy coating.

The ideal temperature for your garage in the winter is between 40 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Maintaining a minimum temperature of at least 40 to 50 degrees is crucial to prevent pipes, liquids, and other items from freezing. Low temperatures can also drain your car battery, so keeping the garage stable is vital for your vehicle. While the lower end of the range protects your belongings, the higher end is based on your personal preference for a comfortable space. If you struggle to keep the temperature from dropping below 40 degrees, consider installing a garage heater.

The decision on whether a garage or an extra room adds more value depends on several factors, including local market demand, location, and buyer preferences. Generally, added living space is more desirable to most buyers, and the utility of the new space determines its return on investment (ROI). Converting a garage into a livable area like a home office, guest room, or entertainment space can add significant value. An additional bedroom, especially one with a bathroom, will likely add the most value. However, adding a garage may be more valuable in areas with limited parking or harsh climates.

Yes. Paint will protect your garage floors, making them more resistant to water, mold, mildew, and oil stains. Depending on your paint choice, painted surfaces are easier to clean and maintain.

Sheet metal garage doors, particularly steel and aluminum, have the cheapest materials and installation. Experienced homeowners may cut and shape the metal themselves; however, you can buy prefabricated metal from a hardware store or pay a metal fabricator to shape the metal to your specifications. Steel and aluminum garage doors can cost as little as $500 and go up to $3,000.
