"Wow! The Chimney Doctor met all of my expectations. Samuel called to let me know they were ahead of schedule and asked if they could come earlier than my appointment (Punctuality A+), upon arrival he first identified two spots in the fire box that needed repair and provided an estimate (Fire Hazard Identification A+), then came the chimney/fireplace cleaning. Drop cloths (clean) were placed on the floor and the work began (no mess at all). This is a very professional full service company and I highly recommend them. I don't think you will be disappointed."

Hi, I’m Madisen — professional cleaner, bread enthusiast, and firm believer that everyone deserves a clean home without a side of judgment.\n\nLife gets messy. Kids happen. Depression happens. ADHD happens. Work gets crazy. Sometimes your laundry pile develops its own ecosystem. I’ve seen it all, and I promise I’ve never walked into a home thinking, “Wow, I can’t believe this.” Usually I’m thinking, “Challenge accepted.”\n\nMy goal is simple: make your home feel lighter, fresher, and more peaceful while making you laugh at least once along the way.\n\nI’m the kind of cleaner who will scrub your baseboards like they personally offended me, celebrate finding the floor again under the toy avalanche, and possibly show up with homemade bread for your first cleaning because that’s just the kind of chaos I’m bringing to the business.\n\nThis is a judgment-free zone. Whether your house is spotless and you just need an extra set of hands, or you’re one unfolded laundry basket away from filing a missing

"They stuck to their schedule and performed the work in a timely manner. Very professional and knowledgeable. They listened to what I had to say about what the problem was and they included a warranty so they may come back if there are any issues. They did a good job! As for the quality of service and value for my money, these questions cannot be answered until the chimney has gone through a period of heavy rain to see if the leak has been stopped. Therefore, that rating is provisional, since I have no reason to think the quality is not good but I have to reserve my answer until we have extensive rain. Overall, they impressed me as being a very professional and competent company."

"Overall these cleanings were good.  By biggest issues were with punctuality and the deal not specifically mentioning that we needed to supply cleaning supplies.  I am new to having someone clean my home so we i guess assumed that all cleaning businesses supply their own supplies to ensure they had what they needed to get the job done.  Or at least communicate what supplies they will need before the first visit.  Angies List needs to specifically mention that in the postings for these jobs/deals.
We had a slight issue with scheduling the first visit because she had a family emergency come up on the original date of 3/15. She did not let me know that she wasn't coming until about 1 1/2 hours after the appointment time and 2 text messages asking if she was still coming.  We are very understanding so that didnt bother us at all since we were not in a hurry.  A week went by and I never heard back from her so I reached out via text message on 3/24 and asked if everything was ok because we hadn't heard from her.  She replied with a new date and time and that was good enough for me.  When we did get the first visit scheduled she advised us that she would be there on 4/2 at about 3pm. On 4/2 I texted her at 2:48pm to verify that we still had our appointment that day. She responded at 3:58pm saying yes and that she was running behind on another job where she was painting and would be there around 5pm. She finally arrived about 6pm and worked until 8pm with 2 other people (3 people total). Work was good but didnt blow me away! Part of this may have been my fault since I didnt have all of the supplies that she needed because I didnt know..
The second visit was scheduled for 4/13 at 4pm and she did advise us of the supplies that she would need us to have for the cleaning.  This appointment also started off really awkward because she showed up almost an hour and a half early without letting us know so we did not have the supplies that she needed available yet because my wife had planned on getting them when she picked up my daughters from school at 3pm!  But it ended up working out fine jackie had brought most of the supplies she needed this time and she was only missing a toliet brush which we were supposed to supply.  But all in all she did a good job.  She left us a detailed note each time of what was completed which was a good thing.  Hope this helps.  She does pretty good work, just be prepared to supply cleaning supplies and deal with potential inconsistencies in scheduling/arrival times!

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

The most common causes of kitchen fires are leaving cooking food unattended, frying food with excessive amounts of oil, and leaving flammable objects near the stovetop.

Repairing a fire-damaged home could cost anywhere from $2,000 to $200,000 or more—it all depends on the extent of the damage and the quality of the materials you use. In most cases, your homeowner’s insurance company will cover the majority of the repairs. If you’re buying a home with fire damage, though, it’s best to get an estimate from a fire damage restoration company to estimate the repairs before closing.

Short circuits can cause significant damage to electrical appliances, bodily harm, and potentially death to humans. For this reason, they are a serious occurrence. If you’re unable to find and fix a short circuit on your own, you must reach out to a licensed electrician for help.

Hazard insurance is the part of your overall homeowner's insurance policy that covers the structure of your home and other structures on your property, as well as any personal property within those structures. When a lender requires you to get hazard insurance for your new home purchase, they’re referring to a standard homeowner’s insurance policy.

Yes, a bowl of vinegar can absorb smoke. If you want to use this method to reduce the smoke smell in your house, all you have to do is leave a bowl (or multiple bowls) of white vinegar out overnight. Alternatively, you can use bowls of baking soda, coffee grounds, or activated charcoal.
