"Lyndon and his team with Bechtel's Lawn Care did a fantastic job. Our project included: leveling our side yard, adding topsoil and sod; laying landscape fabric, border, and stone to a seating area; installing a french drain, water line, and an electrical conduit through a heavily rooted area. His initial quote was accurate and his pricing was fair. His team worked hard all day and completing everything within the same day, thus saving me an additional day of labor costs. His team was also respectful and listened to my requests for landscaping layout. He was punctual and easy to reach leading up to the project. He answered all of my questions promptly and helped us address several issues with our existing yard. Everyone loves our side yard now and we would use him again!"

"I think they treated the wrong lawn. The note they sent me via text message referenced trees and shrubs in my yard, I have none. They also did not leave a yard marker showing they had been there. Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Your neighbor is not in a good position to know if your trees are truly dead or pose any kind of danger. That’s why hiring an arborist or tree service expert can be such an important part of the process. If the trees are still alive and don’t pose any threat, you’re in the clear (but you may want to document and photograph everything in case events turn sour down the road).

But if a tree is visibly dead and near the property line, you should remove it to be safe. If a dead tree falls on a neighbor’s property, they may have grounds to sue for negligence. If any branches on trees have died, it’s a good idea to cut them back for similar reasons.

Yes, most services include basic site cleanup and proper disposal of debris, which may include hazardous materials. It is always best to confirm the specifics with your provider.

If you don’t remove a bush properly, it’ll come back each year. Removing the root system entirely is the only way to ensure the plant doesn’t have a chance to grow back. You can also use natural weed killers or you can choose to suppress the area with landscaping fabric. Additionally, consider planting alternative, non-invasive vegetation to deter the return of thorn bushes.

The best way to clean artificial turf is to use a stiff-bristled broom or rake to loosen up any large debris once a week. The process will also redistribute the infill material that keeps your turf blades standing up straight and evenly. For artificial turf maintenance, do not vacuum your turf or apply cleaning solutions. If you need to rinse the blades, spritz them with a light hose.

Yes, especially for properties focusing on curb appeal. A well-maintained landscape supports visual and environmental attractiveness, potentially increasing desirability.
