"Our crawl space was an absolute wreck. We did an entire house renovation several years ago, but I've never seen a transformation like what Kyle, Chet, and Jake performed today when they encapsulated underneath my house. Not only does the work look impeccable, they even showed up 2 days early after finishing another job to get a jump on my project. They were on time, and worked the entire day. I don't think they even took a lunch break. The customer service was great too. Anytime I approached them with a question or request, they would take off their masks and lights, and I would tell them "Man you don't have to do all that.", they would respond with "No. It's ok. We always have time for the customer.". They were extremely polite and informative about what was happening. This is a great company with great employees who care about the work they're doing. That is hard to find these days. If I ever need another service that they provide, I won't hesitate to hire Redeemers Group. It was definitely a 5 star experience. Thank You!"

"The Redeemers Group construction team was on time, pleasant, worked hard, and completed the project a day earlier than promised. The Foundation repair was well done. The encapsulation made the crawl space clean, dehumidified, and safe. We were impressed by the company's professionalism and attention to detail."

"He was awesome.  He called back, but he was working in Reed field, North Carolina and he could not get to us for a couple of days.  By the time, he got to us we had already gotten the other estimates, and we were pleased with him.  Hampton guy was great.  He was really quick to get back to us, but he had other projects that he had already lined up.  The experience was very satisfactory.  He was very courteous, and prompt.  He was very honest in saying that he cannot get to us, and if we needed to have this work done now, then we need to have to get somebody else.  I appreciated that."

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

Crawl space foundation problems can stem from a few different issues, but the most common are moisture and water problems and soil instability. Moisture and water issues are often a result of poor drainage, which can lead to water intrusion and soil expansion and contraction, leaving your foundation under added stress. A few things can cause soil instability, including poor drainage, karst landscapes and resulting sinkholes, and poorly compacted soil during construction.

In perfect conditions—meaning, no overexposure to the elements without roofing material on top of it—an ice and water shield can last for decades. In fact, many come with a limited lifetime warranty because they should last for a long time. If, however, the membrane is exposed to the elements during building or if there is a delay in installing the roofing material, it might only last up to 180 days if exposed to the elements. The key is to make it a layer of protection and then protect that layer by installing the roofing.

The cost of basement waterproofing is $4,950 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying between $600 and $14,000, depending on factors like basement size, waterproofing method, and the region you live in.

If you live in an area with heavy rainfall, you might be paying more for waterproofing than if you lived somewhere drier since waterproofing contractors would be in high demand. Likewise, a 500-foot basement costs between $2,500 and $5,000 to waterproof, but that price rises significantly for a larger basement.

Mold growth is just one common sign of excess moisture in the bathroom. You may also see the paint in the room start to peel away from the walls, or that the walls remain wet for some time after you bathe.

Condensation on the windows is another sign that your bathroom has a potential moisture problem. The room itself may start to smell like mildew.

No, you don’t want your crawl space to be wet because water and even moisture in the air under your home can attract insects and rodents, decrease your indoor air quality, increase your energy bills, promote mold growth, and even lead to structural damage. If you notice any signs of water or humidity in your crawl space, you should get the issues addressed immediately by contacting a professional. They can remove moisture and will know how to waterproof your basement to prevent ongoing problems.
