"Worked efficiently and did a good job. Made one mistake in the testing but corrected it moving forward but didnâ t repeat the test. Did do a little extra to complete the job. Did make a minor mistake regarding perfume on cloths in a house where a person is hyper allergenic to odorsâ ¦the reason for the duct cleaning."

"Redeemers Group was prompt, courteous, and professional all around. I called regarding cracked bricks on the outside of our home, concerning for a foundation issue. Scheduling was easy. They called the day before to confirm the appointment and who would show up to our house. The day of inspection Jay called 15 minutes before arrival, and arrived exactly on schedule. He and a colleague (Kirk) were courteous and professional. They even took their shoes off in the house, which my wife loved. They visually inspected the area of concern, and performed professional measurements using a leveled tripod laser. Jay and Kirk determined the crack was due to construction and we had no current foundation problem. They provided advice for keeping water away from our home, and for monitoring the foundation over time. The company also sent a detailed foundation package in the mail so I could read on the topic before the inspection. Overall fantastic experience and I would recommend to those in need of a foundation inspection or repair estimate."

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

Mold Testing and Remediation questions, answered by experts

Homes built before the 1990s may contain asbestos, but the only way to be sure is to have your home tested. Hire an asbestos testing and removal service to determine whether you have the hazardous material in your home and the best process for removing or sealing it.

Some of the most common signs of sensitivity or illness from mold include congestion, eye irritation, difficulty breathing, and headaches. These symptoms may not lead to long-term health issues. However, some types of mold, like toxic black mold, can make you quite ill. You may experience respiratory issues, skin rashes, or neurological issues after exposure because of the toxicity. Infants, people with compromised immune systems, and older adults can suffer the most severe reactions.

In most cases, it is safe to return home after mold remediation is complete. You should follow your mold remediation technician’s recommendations, but most pros request that homeowners wait one day after the process is complete to move back in.

After returning home, be sure to carefully inspect the exposed areas for any remaining signs of mold spores. Contact the mold remediation company if you detect any lingering mold.

Many peel-and-stick wallpapers aren’t moisture-resistant, so if you install them in high-humidity rooms, mold can grow behind the wallpaper. It’s best to reserve peel-and-stick wallpaper for bedrooms, living rooms, and other rooms with lower humidity levels. Not only does this minimize the risk of mold growth, but it also keeps the wallpaper from bubbling or peeling.

Damp air from a humidifier can cause mold in ducts if it raises the air's humidity level too high for the duct system to handle or malfunctions, but it’s not a normal occurrence. To avoid mold trouble, set the humidistat to between 30% and 35% and inspect it often to ensure accuracy.
