"We hired Marty to install sod and landscaping at our home. We did not have any ideas on what type of plants or landscaping for our area that we would like. Marty was able to come to our home and provide us with a recommendation that we would have never dreamed of. He was able to transform our front, side, and backyard into something that looks like it should be in Southern Living. He immediately wowed us with his deep knowledge of different types of plants and was able to create us a detailed drawing of what our new yard would look like. He also took the time to email us pictures of the different plants that he suggested to make sure that we liked what he was suggesting. He picked plants that would provide color year round and mixed plants that would go dormant with plants that would stay green year round. In addition to giving us landscaping that we are proud of, Marty and his crew were very punctual. He set up appointments with us and showed up exactly on time. During the process of the installation, he and his crew began working on the agreed upon date and finished in remarkable time as well. He also extended a fence for us that was not in the original plan without extending the timeframe of the project. Once the project was complete, we had over 60 new plants of different variety and new sod. We felt that Marty's cost for all of he and his crew's work, plants, and sod was very reasonable. I will recommend him to anyone that needs landscaping design and installation."

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

Common signs that a septic tank is full include plumbing issues, odors, and changes in your yard. You may notice wastewater or sewage backing up into your home's drains, or that sinks, tubs, and toilets are draining slowly. Gurgling or bubbling sounds from the pipes are also a key indicator. Outside, you might smell foul sewage odors around your house or the septic tank area. Look for pooling water, spongy soil, or a marshy environment around the drain field. Another tell-tale sign is a patch of grass over the septic system that is suddenly lusher and greener than the rest of your lawn. If you notice any of these signs, you should contact a septic professional for an inspection and pumping.

Some companies offer concrete pumping for hard-to-reach areas at an additional cost.

A leach field can take several days or weeks to dry out, even with help from additives designed to improve bacterial activity and promote draining. Because of the risks to health and the potential for wastewater to run off into drinking water sources, it’s better to hire a pro to fix a saturated drain field than try to wait for it to dry out.

It depends on several factors, such as the equipment used and the company. However, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes to pump an average-size septic tank of 1,000 gallons. A larger tank that is over 1,500 gallons can take up to an hour to pump as long as there are no complications.

Over time, your septic tank can accumulate a buildup of sludge at the bottom of the tank. If left unpumped and uncleaned, the sludge will back up into your pipes and home, causing failure and extensive (and smelly) damage. Repairs to your septic system can be costly, which is why regular maintenance is required. It takes about 30 minutes to pump a septic tank that’s 1,250 gallons or less or 1 hour for larger varieties.
