"Scheduling was great, an appointment was made immediately and the contractor arrived on the day scheduled. After that problems started. The contractor mowed my lawn while raining and I had piles of wet grass left on my lawn. When the grass dried I had a big mess. The dead grass also killed areas of my lawn. I contacted customer service, forward photos and they rectified that problem by sending someone out to recut my lawn. I was willing to give them another chance. I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance. The day I was due to have lawn mowed I received an email that it had been reschedule for the next day. The next day no one showed nor did I receive a call nor email at which point I terminated services. This is not a reliable business."

"Very personable brothers and we hired them after talking with them a bit first but for one hour’s work, $500.00 is way too much money for cleaning up the yard of ice-broken limbs. We would hire them for the next two phases we discussed as they were professional, but never at the amount they quoted. Thank you."

"Sam and his crew did an excellent job taking care of my Mothers yard. She lives on 5 acres and her years of doing yard work are over. Sam was very kind and sat with her and explained exactly what he was going to do. He has my highest recommendation."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

No, it’s not necessary to remove all the leaves from your lawn—in fact, leaving some behind can be beneficial. While it's important to clear thick layers of leaves that can smother your grass, leaving a light scattering of leaves can help feed your soil while also providing safe winter habitat for pollinators like bumble bees. Leftover leaves will eventually break down, enriching the soil and promoting healthy lawn growth.

A standard home lawn mower with sharp blades can handle a thin layer of leaves without issue. You may need to make a couple of passes within several days to mulch leaves down, but your mower shouldn’t struggle. If your mower comes with a mulching kit, like an attachment to blow leaves out the side, that’s a good sign it’s ready for fall leaves. Set your mower to the highest or near-highest height for this project so it focuses on the leaves rather than the grass below.

If you want to take the decomposition process into your hands to speed it up, water and sunlight are key. Of course, you can’t control sunlight yourself, but you can rake leaves into piles in sunny spots in your yard. In terms of using water, you can also moisten the decomposing leaves with water, whether by pouring some from a watering can from time to time or using a hose to moisten them.

They handle labor-intensive tasks efficiently, equipping your lawn for seasonal changes without physically demanding work on your part.

Yes, it's perfectly safe and environmentally sound to mulch leaves with a lawn mower, provided that the layer of leaves isn't too thick and the leaves are dry and crispy. Too many wet leaves get sticky and will clog the mower. Thick layers of leaves can suffocate the lawn after the leaves have been mulched, so the layer should be no more than six inches thick.
