Everything was assembled correctly, sturdy, and looks fantastic. They were courteous, cleaned up after the job, and made the entire process stress-free. "Mr. Terry and Mr. Steven are truly professionals at their work and it's amazing how well they work together like a well oiled machine. I mean it's really wonderful that they can do things like they can read each others mind, that they know what the other needs to getting the large jobs completed with no wasted time and workmanship is Superior. We had our entire A/C systems ventilation piping replaced and redesigned. The new system looks absolutely great and laid out perfectly. It looks great with no piping out of place that blew my mind how wonderful it looks and totally efficient and cools our large house everywhere. There is no dead space not getting cooling or heating throughout the house. They checked out our 2 A/C units and they needed no work. We WILL be using Magnolia Heating and Cooling services in the future for our general maintenance and any further repairs. Their labor rates are most comparable and easy on the budget. They are NOT your run in the mill company that will promise one thing and do the other, or skip out on you like Valley Ridge Construction Company. Every rating given in this review is totally honest for they deserve every star given. Thank You Terry and Steven, Mr. Robert Tommaselli"

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

To diagnose a bad HVAC or AC damper, assess the airflow from your vents. For a manual damper, close it, run your system, and check for airflow. If air is still coming through the vents, the damper is likely faulty and needs repair or replacement. For an automatic damper, turn on your HVAC system and monitor the airflow and room temperature. Signs of a problem include low airflow, a room that won't maintain its set temperature, or a drafty feeling. If you suspect a faulty automatic damper, you may need to hire a professional for repairs.

Yes, but they don’t feel the same as an AC-cooled room. You’ll feel cool, moist air, opposite from an HVAC system that dries the air as it cools. Ventless units also have less tonnage than alternatives like ductless and central air, which means they aren’t as capable of quickly cooling large spaces or circulating cold air.

Yes, a dehumidifier and air conditioner can be used simultaneously in a home. A dehumidifier can bolster an air conditioner’s efficiency. Typically, a dehumidifier is used when the air conditioner alone cannot keep a home’s humidity levels at a comfortable indoor humidity level, which should, ideally, be between 30% and 50%.

If your AC condenser is nearing the end of its life, it might leak fluid or make loud or unusual sounds (like grinding or hissing). You might also notice that it isn’t heating your home as evenly or effectively as it once did. Also, an aging condenser will have to work harder to cool your home, which may force it to use more power and drive up your utility bills.

No, it's not advisable to only replace the outside AC unit connected to your system. AC units are designed to work as a cohesive system, and older units work differently than newer units. Therefore, replacing only one component can lead to incompatibilities that affect the system’s performance. Replacing one component can void your warranty, costing you money for repairs.
