We occasionally sub-contract the services of an excavator. Landscaping billing procedure is typically a percentage down for materials; progress payments if applicable; balance due upon completion. Estimates are always free of charge. Detailed landscape drawings may require a fee but any amount paid would be applied to the cost of the project if accepted by the customer. While you certainly can provide your landscaper with plants, keep in mind that some nurseries provide discounts to landscaping companies, therefore potentially lowering your materials cost. Most likely, your landscaper can get a discount on these materials as well, so it’s worth speaking with them before making any large purchases.
