"I had a roof approaching the end of its life. Instead of waiting for an issue, or praying for hail damage, my wife and I decided to be proactive and replace it. Since it wasn't urgent, we took our time to research companies and get multiple quotes (all of the quotes came in around the same price). We ended up signing with Shelby Roofing and Exteriors for a new roof, gutters, and siding, and have been thoroughly pleased with that decision. Their commitment to wonderful customer service was evident from the moment I called for a quote and has extended to after the job was completed. What stood out immediately to me was with the estimate. Other companies spent maybe 15 minutes at my house and handed me a quote. Luke from Shelby on the other hand took his time to evaluate everything very thoroughly and made me feel like everything was getting thought through. After that he sat down with me, went over the quote, options, and material until I had all of my questions answered. What really stood out was when he asked for my business and the opportunity to discuss it further if I was considering any other companies quotes. From there communication was great about planning, and dates. I worked with Eric on those, and like Luke before he was exceptional the entire way through. With every job he came to talk to me, review the work, and then came back to inspect and answer questions. He helped me get everything arranged to what I would say is the ideal setup for my house. Even after everything was done, I was able to reach out to Eric about help with an elbow on my gutter that I wanted to add, and he was out the next morning getting it set up. The crews that came out to do the jobs were great. They worked hard and late to get things done. I am a stickler for things getting done correctly, and I can honestly say they exceeded these expectations. We cannot be happier with the decision to go with Shelby. While price is always a consideration, it is the customer service and workmanship that puts them far above and beyond other companies. When dealing with them you will feel important, understood, and left feeling confident of your decision. If you are in need of work that they can do, you cannot go wrong by calling them. Everything was exceptional, and they have a lifetime customer who will give out their name as a referral."

"We contracted with Basile Landscaping & Lawncare, LLC (Basile) in August 2017 for work that was completed in November 2017. Work included a fire pit patio, consisting of patio pavers, rock stairs, and two small patio walls (approx. 30” tall at tallest point). Also included in the work was a small hot tub concrete pad, a small flagstone walkway, and irrigation repairs related to work performed. Total cost $22,830.00. Within a year of install, the patio walls, which were made out of natural stone and dry set, began caving in due to pressure from surrounding soil compaction. While we were able to reset the stones initially, the problem has gotten worse and now requires repair. We reached out to Basile in Oct. 2023 to get an estimate on repair costs with the hope that they would stand behind the workmanship. While we were not expecting the repairs to free, we did expect a fair price, since the rock walls did not hold up as promised. The rock walls should have been set in adhesive to ensure they would hold up. Jim Thomas from Basile provided us with a bid that totaled $3,500 to fix the walls installed by his company. We were told the bid reflected a $300 discount, since Basile did the initial install. Materials for the repair would be limited to polymeric sealant, which should have been used on the initial install, and repairs to the yard around the walls requiring work. We tried to negotiate a fair price for the repairs, since material costs would be less than $500, but Mr. Thomas would not negotiate a fair price to fix the poor installation provided by his company. In short, if you are looking for a company that does quality work at a fair price and stands behind the work performed, you may want to contract with a different company."

"Price: A. Professionalism: F. Punctuality: F. The job is not yet completed. In July, per our contract the Drury crew removed the crown of the tree and part of the trunk, leaving the bottom 30 or 40 feet. They left without explanation and the trunk remained for weeks. The crew left branches on my neighbor's yard that the neighbor had to remove himself. On August 4, the Drury owner suddenly showed up and drove across my front yard in a heavy vehicle, cutting a deep furrow. He and an assistant removed the remaining trunk; the owner said I should pay not just for the tree removal but for the stump grinding; then his subcontractor would do the work. No tree service has ever asked for payment before service completion. Drury wouldn't budge, so later in August I gave them a check for the stump grinding; Drury cashed it on August 27. It is now September 24 and the service has not been done."
