"Preston and Heidi did a fantastic job painting for us. We hired them to paint our babyâ s nursery and it turned out beautifully. They were both very respectful of our time and our home and the job was finished right on time. Highly recommend!"

"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"After purchasing an Angie's List Deal, I received the measuring kit in the mail promptly. The template and instructions provided to draw my split table top and each of the leaves were easy to use and understand. I mailed the completed materials and received the table pads very quickly. The table splits in the middle to allow insertion of up to 3 additional leaves. The table also has 2 drop leaves. That's 7 pads. All fit perfectly. I have used them on the table for family parties (not every day) and they're durable and built to last. I keep them in the box they arrived in to protect them when not in use. These are a worthwhile investment."

"

I contracted with Siding Repair Systems (headquartered in OFallon, MO) in June 2015 for the removal and replacement of the siding on my two story house in Golden, Colorado with Certain Teed hardboard siding (8" Hardie Lap Color +).  The estimate was for 2458 square feet of siding, 330 feet of soffit/fascia and 235 feet of 5" gutters and downspouts.  Mr. Cory Feco, principal/owner, met with me to provide contract details and costs in late June 2015 prior to signing the contract.  The installation window specified in the contract was a starting date NLT August 15 and a completion date NLT Sept 21.  The contracted cost of the job was just under $ 26,000 and a $ 1,000 deposit was provided to get the job scheduled.  The contract specified a payment of $ 6,780 (20%) upon material delivery, a payment of $ 7,780 at halfway completion (30%) and the balance upon satisfactory completion of the job.

Siding Repair Systems called on Friday, August 21 and said that a crew would show up to begin the work on Monday, August 24.  The crew showed up as promised on August 24.  Branch Manager Paul Dickens reviewed the work plan with me that morning.  The siding materials were delivered that afternoon.  The three man crew immediately commenced removal of the old siding.  Project Coordinator Cash Stricker showed up that afternoon to check in and see how the work was proceeding.

The three man crew was diligent in their work.  They showed up promptly every morning, worked hard and kept the jobsite (my yard) clean and organized.  Likewise for the painting crew (for painting of the fascia) and the gutter crew.  The attention showed by Branch Manager Paul Dickens and Project Coordinator Cash Stricker was timely, appropriate and greatly appreciated.

I would recommend this company without any hesitation.

FAQs for carpentry projects in Theodosia, MO

The average cost to hire a woodworker for a project in your home is around $65 per hour, but hourly rates can range from $35 to $250 or more, depending on the experience and skill of the woodworker. Your total woodworking project cost will depend on the complexity of the work, the type of wood, the number of projects, and any other materials your project requires. You could hire a professional woodworker to create everything from a custom cabinet to ornate, unique staircases.

Generally, general contractors charge between $50 and $150 hourly, though not every contractor charges by the hour. If charging based on the project, you can expect a markup of 10% to 20% of the construction cost. You can expect to pay between $300 and $500 daily if charged by the day.

While city and state laws vary on general contractor licensing requirements, hiring an unlicensed general contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local general contractor guidelines for your area.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Every woodworker has different skills and experience, so we recommend asking the following questions when hiring a woodworker for your project:

  • How long have you been in the woodworking industry?

  • What experience do you have with my type of project?

  • Do you have customer references I can speak with?

  • How long do you expect my project to take?

  • What is my recourse if I have an issue with your work?

  • Do you charge hourly or per project?

  • Will you work on-site or in your own workshop?

  • Does your fee include the necessary post-job clean-up?

While they perform similar tasks, a carpenter is responsible for the woodworking that goes into construction—like framing, installing sheathing, and hanging kitchen cabinets—while a woodworker tackles more intricate and custom projects—like building custom furniture and installing wainscoting. Based on these definitions, most woodworkers can tackle the jobs of a carpenter, but you should always ask about your specific project when choosing a woodworker to ensure they have the necessary skills to tackle the job.
