"Great. The crew was very courteous and professional. They handled all obstacles without missing a beat, such as replacing a bad toilet water valve and toilet flange. When they removed the old flooring they discovered a large section of subflooring was severely degraded and replaced it too. The new tile and toilet look great. I highly recommend this company."

"This was a very old drive way, sidewalk, and carport. Many large cracks, and parts of the concrete had started to sink. The two man crew was very professional. On time, and worked hard, as a team, to get the job done."

"All was good except the pricing. The plumber did a great job. When he initially called back to the office for a price it was excessive. The price was reduced if I removed the toilet. The final cost was more than other quotes I received after the job was completed. But the work was done promptly and the plumber was friendly."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Replacing a toilet costs between $275 and $480 in most cases, and the average cost sits around $375. This includes removing the old toilet and installing the new toilet. Your price could be significantly higher if you invest in a high-quality brand, need the replacement done on an emergency basis, or replace your toilet as a part of a larger bathroom remodel that demands additional work.

Common problems include leaks, clogs, and running water. Regular maintenance prevents most issues.

The toilet should rest 10, 12, or 14 inches from the back wall. As for other clearances, 15 inches is the minimum distance from the flange to any side wall or nearby fixture, including the shower, tub, and sink. Modern codes also require at least 24 inches of clear space in front of the toilet.

Adding another bathroom isn’t the most complicated project you can undertake, but it’s in the top 5%. Anything involving plumbing and electrical work should be handed off to a pro, and adding a half bath involves both. A contractor may charge $70 to $120 an hour for labor, but chances are they can work much faster and more accurately than a DIYer.

Options include standard, dual-flush, and low-flow models. Choose based on water efficiency and design preferences.
