"Excellent job. Explained what was going to be done and the preparations needed of the jobsite beforehand. Completed the work in a timely manner, cleaned up the jobsite afterwards and showed me the work completed. I compared their estimate to others and it was very reasonable since others wanted to charge an exorbitant amount that was anywhere from 2-5 times the estimate I received from them for a basic mudjacking job that takes 1-2 hours. The pictures that are attached are 1 before and 1 after. The concrete is still wet from them literally just completing the work, but they were able to lift the steps all the way back up to their original position. Recommended."

"Thrasher did a great job. The foreman was knowledgeable and he explained what was going to be done. We were allowed to watch the process. They leveled the front step and the sidewalk by drilling holes in the concrete and pumping foam under them until everything was level. They caulked everything when they were done and cleaned up the area. The entrance to our home looks so much better. It was well worth the money."

"They were ontime and raised the driveway quickly. They were also helpful in providing some additional advice. They cleaned up the site after they finished."

"What a wonderful company to work with. Very responsive. Came out to give the estimate when they said they would. Their price and explanation of what was needed were both excellent. When I called to schedule the work they were once again very responsive. They came out to complete the work when scheduled. They walked me through exactly what they were going to do again. They completed the work and cleaned up after they were finished. I highly recommend AAdvantage Mudjacking."

"The mudjacking leveled both areas - better than I expected. Cameron Green is the owner and he came both days to not only see how the work was doing, but rolled up his sleeves to help. They also dug and installed a new drain for a gutter that was part of the problem contributing to the walkway shifting. I would recommend Cameron's company to do mudjacking. They use a concrete mixture, rather than a poly fill (which I had used before to mudjack, but it didn't work)."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Concrete leveling can last anywhere from five to 10 years or more, and in some cases, it can be a permanent solution. The longevity depends on the method used and whether the underlying cause of the sinking is addressed. For example, mudjacking typically lasts five to 10 years, while polyjacking can last for 20 years or more. It's best to consult a professional for an accurate timeline based on your specific situation and any factors that could cause the issue to recur.

Costs range from $500 to $1,500, depending on the size and condition of the area.

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The total drying time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it needs to harden fully to prevent the concrete slab from shifting under added weight. You should avoid walking on the concrete or placing heavy items like furniture or vehicles on the surface until it has fully set. Your concrete contractor can provide a precise timeline. As a point of comparison, if you opt for polyjacking, the polyurethane foam can dry in minutes, but it's recommended to wait about an hour before use.

Generally speaking, push piers—or steel piers—are the best option for underpinning, as they reach down to solid bedrock to find support for your foundation rather than relying on soil, which could be subject to the same issues as the soil directly below your foundation. However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.
