"Needed a sub panel and my entire garage wired(7 120 outlets, 2 240 outlets, and a floodlight put in). They showed up gave a quick run threw and they knocked it out Whole process was quick and easy. Great work at a great price! Would definitely recommend!"
"While I was very pleased with the design and installation process, the post-installation service is not responsive. One day after going live, the new Franklin WH battery system that was recommended started causing issues with production. They have been out twice to work on it, but only after multiple contacts and pleading. Currently, I have a $24K battery system I had to power down just to keep the solar system going. Unfortunately, they recommended (and I agreed) to install this cutting edge solution based on faulty manufacturer advice. Supposedly it is compatible with Enphase but in reality it is not, so it is not not their fault. I just wish there was as much energy put into getting the system operational as there seems to be with getting the system installed."

"We called Martin's Plumbing to put a new faucet on our kitchen sink. They showed up when they said they would and put it on, even though they were trying to catch up on work because of cold weather. We had a small leak under the sink for quite some time. Other plumbers said it was just the valve leaking and basically ignored it. When the Martin's were under the sink putting in the faucet they saw it and said the valve could be the problem and that it might be a crack in the plastic pipe leading up to the faucet. They replaced the valve and the pipe, no more leak. They had to spend more time than they had planned to install the kitchen faucet because of the other issues under the sink. Their plumbing skills, friendly attitude and effort to communicate and describe what they are doing and any potential problem areas is extremely refreshing. We certainly intend to call them first for any additional services we might need and would highly recommend them to anyone needing a plumber.
In most cases, installing solar panels will not void your roof warranty. To keep roof warranties intact, check your written warranty or call the manufacturer to ask about clauses regarding roof penetrations. You can also protect yourself by getting written approval or a modified warranty that specifically allows the solar installation type you’re planning. Then, hire a professional solar installer that follows roofing manufacturer instructions and protects the roof during installation.
Solar batteries can be a great investment to help maximize your solar savings and make your system and home more valuable, but they’re most beneficial to customers who don’t have access to net metering. If your state or energy provider doesn’t provide net metering, batteries can be a great way to offset consumption even when your panels aren’t producing power. They also come with the added benefit of providing electricity through blackouts, so they’re valuable in areas prone to severe weather that could cause frequent blackouts. Your installer can help you decide if batteries are worthwhile.
The best way to know if your roof can support solar panels is to hire a structural engineer. They’ll look at your roof and approve the design of your solar panel system or suggest changes. The best roofing for solar panels is made from strong materials like asphalt shingles and metal, but tile and gravel will work. Softer materials like thatch or temporary structures are not a good fit.
The time it takes to install solar panels depends on the number of panels and the size of your home, but installation takes between two and three days of work. While most contractors can install the panels over the course of a couple of days, switching to solar energy can take two to three months in total. This includes the time it takes to design the system, procure the parts, obtain the permits, install the panels, connect to the main power grid, and get an inspection.
Not all homes are suited for solar panel systems. Older roofs or those in poor condition may need repairs or replacement before solar panels can be installed. Some other factors to consider are the amount of sunlight your roof receives, the roof’s orientation and pitch, and any shading from nearby trees or buildings.
