"He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Told us about the insert we had from purchase of the house. Explained about chimneys and their upkeep. Showed us pictures he took of his inspection of the chimney, explained the cause and how to mitigate. He’s coming back to do repairs of the chimney. The flew and pipe are fine and now clean."

"Great! They were expert, cleaned up nicely, were very aware of the surroundings and very careful. They were pleasant to deal with. They did what I requested for the agreed upon fee and also did some extra trimming for a very reasonable extra amount. It was a good and entertaining experience, really fun to watch them climb, cut and lower the pieces of trunk."

"Bryan and his team have been cleaning my house for several months.  They come every two weeks, and my house is shining when they're done.  I have hardwood floors throughout the first floor, and they vacuum/sweep and then use a hardwood floor mop on it.  For some reason my house gets *REALLY REALLY* dusty, but after they've come it's GONE!"

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

Solar panels that haven’t been properly inspected and maintained pose several risks to homeowners. Firstly, a dirty, obstructed, or malfunctioning solar panel won’t be able to generate as much power, which could lead to power shortages and wasted money. But more importantly, neglected solar panel arrays can become dangerous if left for too long. Corroded wires and exposed circuitry are fire hazards, so it’s strongly recommended to keep up with regular maintenance to protect your home.

It is generally not safe to live in a house with smoke damage, as even minor damage can pose long-term health hazards and structural risks. While it might seem safe temporarily depending on the severity, you should relocate if there is major damage or visible soot. Smoke smells and residue contain dangerous particulates and chemical compounds, including carcinogens, that are hazardous to breathe and can cause respiratory issues. These signs of damage are not always visible but can have dangerous short-term and long-term effects on your health, belongings, and your home's structural materials. You should not stay in the house until a trained professional from a smoke remediation or restoration company has assessed the damage and determined it is safe to return. Your insurance company may cover the cost of alternative housing while the professional work is completed.

The first step is removing water or chemical residue, if applicable, after extinguishing. Next, your professional will clean up soot, remove damaged materials, treat the smoke damage, and complete any necessary structural repairs. After that, your pro will begin the build-back process and install finishes to restore your home to its previous condition.

To get rid of the smoke smell in a microwave, scrape off any burnt food residue and throw it away. Next, warm a cup of water in a microwave-safe container for three minutes. Then, dip a microfiber cloth into a mixture of water and a couple of drops of dish soap and wipe down the inside of the microwave. Dry the inside of the microwave with a fresh cloth and let everything air out for three hours.

The first step in fire damage restoration is having a pro come in right away to help control moisture (if authorities used water to extinguish a fire at your home). Skipping moisture removal puts your home at risk for invasive mold and rot that can cause added property damage and health issues. Once you have the bulk of the water out, you’ll need to run blower fans for 24 to 72 hours to remove moisture.
