Customers say: Quick response

"Paul was wonderful to work with! Even though I had a small urban yard he always put in the extra effort to gather magnolia leaves (IYKYK that is a brutal job in Wilmington summers), trim shrubs, and proactively communicate about the next appointment. My yard always looked like it got a professional facelift when he was done!"

Small jobs welcome

"My first contact with this company was the lady who took pictures of the areas and listened carefully to what we wanted. She then sent photos and we completed the plans. A lot of work had to be done to remove weeds and growth before sod could be spread. The workers did so carefully and added a small bed of shrubs with the sod area. Extra soil was added to level the ground before adding sod. This area is now growing quite well. Two other beds were established with extra soil and the type of mulch that we prefer. They even moved two azaleas from one area to one of the beds. These are doing well so care was taken to complete this. Since I still had some problems with some weeds growing back into the beds, they have returned to work on this. Both Devin and Cathi are very easy to work with and make sure that the work is above standard. They are willing to discuss my questions and help me understand what all is involved with the work. They are quite professional. My husband described Cathi as quite a hard worker as she comes with the team to manage the work and jumps right in to do the work, as well. We are quite pleased with this company and even referred them to a dear friend. I look forward to working with them on other projects we may have. When I mentioned that the gutters needed cleaning, they do that also. So, we hired them for this as well."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

When a surface that contains lead dust is disturbed, the dust can float about in the air for roughly an hour before settling again. Since you cannot see the dust, it is important always to wear protective gear when working with any materials that may contain lead paint and to keep children, pets, and others away from the area for as long as possible

No. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover any kind of lead remediation, focusing instead on sudden, unpreventable events like fires and theft. Many insurance companies will specifically exclude lead paint removal, since it tends to be an expensive and unavoidable project. The exception is if the lead surface is damaged during a covered event (like a flood) and homeowners insurance pays its replacement.

Lead exposure poses significant health risks, including neurological, developmental, and behavioral disorders, especially critical in young children and fetuses.

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

The best disposal method for hazardous waste is recycling or donation, if possible. That way, the world can reduce its consumption of raw materials and the volume at which materials have to be treated and disposed of. If recycling or donation is not an option, most waste can be disposed of through landfills or incinerators, but their collection and treatment are separate from regular day-to-day waste disposal.
