Hi my name is Gavin. I am 19 years old and have already worked multiple different trades and I’ve learned a lot of things from professional contractors. I am now trying to start a business of my own and trying to establish jobs for myself to get this business started. If you’d like to give me the opportunity, it would be a great pleasure and I will do my best to make you happy as I should as an owner of a company I will get fair prices based on my knowledge of doing it and be completely honest with you before doing it. Thank you.

Small jobs welcome

Hello, I am a recently retired educator and coach. I learned building trades from my father as a child and worked with him in construction for 8 years building houses from the ground up including plumbing, wiring, concrete, cabinetry, etc. from framing to finish. I have completed my own additions, remodeling, and repairs for the last 30 years. I'm a detail oriented perfectionist that enjoys working with my hands and providing a quality, reasonably priced service.

"Wonderful personable service and stayed on top of the project. I had issues with a music room and dining room and getting my space organized. She has gone above and beyond with those rooms and has an excellent eye for design. She was also really helpful in color selection."

"Jason & Karen did an almost complete interior remodel of a three-bedroom rental property for me. They did a multitude of jobs from a complete kitchen remodel and about a 3/4 bathroom remodel; paint & trim throughout, carpet & flooring, all the interior doors and even some outside trim. They did great work and the materials they used were very good quality. I do wish I'd taken advantage of an invitation to choose of some of the materials, I left that to them and, while one or two things weren't what I'd have chosen, they'll do fine. I especially appreciated the way the payments were spaced throughout the project as it progressed."

Window Treatments questions, answered by experts

There are many standard window sizes. The most common windows, single or double-hung models, typically range from 2-feet by 3-feet up to 4-feet by 6-feet. Of course, sliding windows will be wider than they are tall, though the standard sizing follows the same measurements.

If your window well fills with water, first remove the water as soon as weather conditions allow, using a pump or wet/dry vacuum. If water has seeped into your basement, you may need to call a professional to assess the damage. Once the water has been pumped out of the well, check the drainage at the bottom of the well and clear out any blockages.

Casement windows are safer against intruders than double-hung windows because they are extremely difficult to pry open from the outside. However, if you’re concerned about young kids or pets, double-hung windows have safety features you might prefer. With double-hung windows vs. single-hung or casement windows, you can lock the bottom sash and open just the top sash to keep children and dogs or cats safe.

Double-pane windows cost an average of $900 per window. The price range for double-pane windows goes as low as $300 and as high as $4,500 per window. This window type differs from single-pane windows by spacers separating the panes and helping strengthen them while holding them in place. A gas like argon or krypton typically fills the space between the panes.

Clean with non-abrasive cleaners and a soft cloth, avoiding ammonia-based products that can degrade the film.
