"A little slow getting started do to weather, our vacations and their load, but, once started it went very quickly.  This is a family business and the entire family was here. 2 to pressure wash one day, then once dry, 6 for three full days performing the actual prime, caulk and paint.
Much of the siding was sprayed and and all the caulking, prime and trim was done by hand.  There was no over spray to be found anywhere and everything was cleaned up when they finished.
Dave and his wife Linda, helped select paint similar to the original, they picked it up and brought it to the house.  We paid for the paint directly with his discount.  I was surprised at the low price for the paint because Sherwin Williams products are not the cheapest around.
Dave, Linda and the entire crew were great to work with.  When we had questions, they had the answers.  When my wife was concerned about color variations between some stucco and wood they jumped ahead and painted the garage doors so we could see them all together.  They explained that the paint all came from the same batch and what she was seeing was because of texture of the stucco vs the wood and garage doors.
Overall, they did a great job and we are pleased with the outcome.

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

There are two ways sandblasting could be dangerous: improper use of the equipment so that the stream touches your skin, and air particles created during the sandblasting process. While the first is easier to avoid and fairly obvious, the second has the potential to be more serious and is much more difficult to understand. This is why you should always hire a pro to sandblast, as they understand the dangers associated with the process. If proper safety measures are taken, then sandblasting is rarely dangerous.

Because these two systems have different applications, there is no definitive answer to which is better. When working with sturdy materials, sandblasting is cheaper and faster, but more delicate projects require soda blasting. Before choosing either option, consider your specific needs, particularly your ultimate goal (cleaning, removing rust, prepping for painting, etc.), the material, and your budget.

Sandblasting refers to the process of cleaning a surface using compressed air and aggregate. Soda blasting is the gentlest type of this method, but it differs from sandblasting that uses mineral or other aggregate, since sodium bicarbonate breaks apart more easily than other forms of blast media and, therefore, cannot be reused.

Soda-blasting systems are slightly more expensive than sandblasting systems. To soda blast, you’ll need to spend a few hundred dollars for a blast hose and nozzle, a compressed air supply, a blast generator, a moisture decontamination system, and sodium bicarbonate media, a recurring cost because the powder is not reusable. To start with sandblasting, you will need to spend upwards of $30 for a blast pot, a blast gun, an air compressor, and sandblasting media, many of which are recyclable—further reducing the cost. The total cost for either will depend on the size of the system.

The cost of sandblasting depends on the scope of the project, the surface type, labor, and equipment required. Services typically cost between $50 and $80 per hour, though most professionals charge by surface area at a rate of $1.50 to $7 per square foot. Total project costs can range from $700 to $12,500, with an average homeowner spending around $3,200 to sandblast a 1,000-square-foot surface.
