"For a standard clean the job they did was about 75% completed, for a Deep Clean the job was about 50% completed. They were contacted for a cleaning, suggested a deep clean that would take 6-7 hours to complete for 2 people, they would provide all the equipment and products, they would come to the house and review the job. Then when on site, even with limiting the scope eliminating 1 bedroom and 1 toilet, they pushed to up the price to $1000 when compared to the verbally quoted $600-800. When my wife arrived on site when talking about the costs they said a standard clean would be $275. The house did need a good deep cleaning due to pet hair and dust overall. So we agreed considering the 6-7 hours and with that cost we would not have a tip on the price due to the shock of them changing the price once they got on site. We had pre-cleaned and removed most of the items that would be in the way for them to clean the night before. I was working from home in my home office (one of the bedrooms) and my wife was with me in that office working on her laptop. When my wife left the house and I was on a meeting they came in to clean my office. That took about 10 minutes which would not equal a deep clean, but more a standard cleaning. Then they packed up and said they were finished with the job. This was at 3 hours and 25 minutes. I was between meetings for a few minutes and was alone (as my wife was gone now) and didn't really have a chance to do a full once over to check their work. I did find 2 of their cleaning rags that were left in rooms, however one of those rooms (a bathroom) did not get cleaned at all. They asked for Venmo to her personal Venmo account, not a business account, and then packed up and left. Nancy was here with her "business partner" which I believe is her son Dylan. I stated verbally that I thought they would be there longer and they said that the "really get to it and work fast." I had to get to a meeting so I paid the Venmo and they departed the property. After my meetings were over for the day I was able to do a review of the house and their work and immediately felt like they had taken advantage of us and didn't complete the job of a deep clean. They did a cursory job of cleaning, but not a deep clean as we had discussed and had the price pushed up. Examples of what they missed are listed here: When viewing the results these were the issues visibly found: Missed areas on every floor and in every room. Dusting was very incomplete and areas for a deep clean were not dusted. Broken item Floors were not cleaned under the bed in the bedroom, still very dirty, and dust/pet hair was still visible after the cleaning. A deep cleaning should have completed. Couch cushions didn’t appear to have been moved and cleaned. Furniture was not moved or cleaned behind. There was dirt, debris, and other items still under easily movable furniture that should have been cleaned and vacuumed. The woodwork, spindles on the third floor were missed in areas. Spindles and areas along the stairs were missed on the first and second floor. Multiple pictures on the second floor still have dust on the top of the frame. Shelves appear to have been dusted around items, but not removing all the items on the second floor. Shelves have dust on the tops and backs of the shelves. Third floor vanity was not cleaned on the back side of the counter. There was still a toothpaste area on the top of the sink. Sink was not wiped out. Second floor bath faucet was not wiped down, the area behind the tub was not cleaned or swept (there are dead bugs, dust, and debris there), and the bathtub tray was not cleaned. The trash was not taken out and replaced. Mopping of the floors on the second and third floors cannot be confirmed. It was not seen and there isn’t evidence of mopping being completed. Third floor shower walls were not completely clean and the shower tray was not cleaned of any dirt, debris, or hair. Hair and debris still were visible in the shower tray. First floor cobwebs in visible areas in the Family Room (fireplace) along baseboards near the brass lamp. Jelly bean and debris, along with 2 dead bugs that were there before the cleaning started were not swept nor cleaned up. Glass lampshade was not dusted in the Living Room (with the piano). There are so many things here that were missed. The original quote was $600-800 for a deep clean with 6-7 hours of work. ($100-114/hr) The estimate was based on the square footage of the house, 1 more bedroom than was in scope for this cleaning, and an additional toilet that was out of scope for this cleaning. The on site quote was $1000 for a deep clean but lasted 3.5 hours. ($286/hr) While I agree that there are positives from the cleaning it did not meet the expectation of a deep cleaning. Rather it was more like a regular cleaning with a small amount of difference. Since a regular cleaning was quoted on site at $275, the value and expectations of the $1000 deep clean should have been about 3 or 4 times the amount of cleaning. With this in mind I am asking for a refund of $500. This allows for $115 per hour ($402.50 plus a tip to total $500). If all the things below were completed without any issue I would not be asking for this refund. On Saturday morning, after talking to my wife about this, I sent a request through Venmo for $500 to have a refund for the level of work that was missed. I didn't hear back from Nancy so on Sunday morning I checked and she had blocked me from Venmo. This seems very sketchy and confirms that they were taking advantage of us by not performing the work as expected. I then texted Nancy on her cell phone asking for the refund and provided pictures to support the areas enumerated above. I didn't get any response at all. We are willing to pay for the standard cleaning plus a tip to make the total $500, but that is all as the work did not meet expectations. Nancy and Dylan, the providers, did not try to remediate the issue, did not try to meet us in the middle, and ghosted us on Venmo and Text where we have no choice but to reach out to Angi for resolution. Below assuming 1 is excellent and 5 is poor (there are not any directions on the scale for those choices) we have rated based on the work negotiated on site for the cost. "I contacted this company to clean our air ducts & vents. The service, both office support and the on site technicians was outstanding. When I called the office she explained the process and when the technicians arrived they again explained the process. I knew exactly what was going to take place. I could not have asked for any better customer service. They arrived on time and set about doing the job. I will use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for this type of service"

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Chemical herbicides will kill moss permanently. The same goes with bleach water. However, moss can start growing again once a new layer of dirt and debris is caught in your sand in paver joints. Therefore, the problem is not about killing moss permanently, but ensuring effective prevention of moss regrowth.

Generally, snow removal from a roof should occur once over six inches of snow accumulates, especially if you notice that ice dams have formed. Without ice dams, you can let the snow accumulation hit 12 inches before removing it. However, the amount of snow that is too much for your roof also depends on the sturdiness of your roof and the compactness of the snow. If your roof needs maintenance or has structural issues, it’s best not to let the snow accumulate too much for fear of collapsing.

It is not advisable to DIY a roof cleaning job. Cleaning your roof yourself could lead to hazardous falls, scrapes, and even burns, making this a dangerous project. Additionally, using the wrong cleaning solution or cleaning method on your roof could risk damaging it. While some markets offer a DIY roof cleaning kit, these products often speed up the deterioration of your roof.

To ensure that you and your roof are protected, it’s best to leave roof cleaning to a professional with the right chemicals, tools, and equipment to complete the job safely.

You can rinse your solar panels in some cases. For example, periodically rinsing your solar panels can remove light debris if you live in an agricultural or dusty area. Light dust and dirt won’t affect efficiency much, but they can build up and mix with other debris like animal droppings, leaves, and small sticks.

You should not clean roof shingles if the roof has damage like missing shingles or low spots where water may accumulate. You should focus on repairing the roof before any cleaning process occurs. If you notice roof damage as you’re climbing on the roof to clean it, stop immediately. Call a roofing pro to make repairs. Cleaning a roof that has damage could lead to pooling water or water damage to the roof decking. The roof cleaning process removes mold and mildew, making the roof look better. It is not going to fix physical damage, though.
