"let me start by saying that, I would not recommend them to remodel a dog house. I had to clean up after them each day that they where here an throwing away boxes sweeping up in the kitchen, after they where done, the garage as well. they did not finish the flooring under the stove until I looked, an said they where trying to save me money like another $60.00 was going to break me. He tried to supply me with a used scratched up sink they tried polishing it out for 3 hours, the scratches where so deep they would not come out. they scratched up the cover on the faucet plate I had to get a new one, to replace it while they where replacing the sink they scratched my new stove on the top when they where setting it in they scratched my dish washer corner installing the counter tops. they chipped my newly painted garage door bringing in the counter top. When I told the owner about how they had lost the plastic prong to the bottom of the dish washer an I found it in the trash he took of the jerry rigged screw off of it an put the plastic prong on an said he would have to order the other one, an that the dish washer door still would not close an it needed to be raised on the one side an moved out, so that it would close. obviously I will not recommend them to any one, I will how ever say that Celest who did the back splash did a great job. WE RESTORE CABINET FINISHES AFFORDABLY: Stained, Painted, Whitewashed & Pickled. We DO NOT change colors on or Reface cabinets. We do restore cabinet & interior wood finishes to their original beauty. We use durable finishes that are guaranteed! Hi, I’m Jim the “Gleam Guard Man.” My Father was a home builder, he trained me in wood refinishing back in 1964. I’ve seen a lot of industry changing things but never anything quite like Gleam Guard. Eliminating the Dust & the Mess and cutting 75% of the time and Cost without compromising quality is simply astounding! The Gleam Guard Process is an “Innovative Chemical Technology” made possible by years of experience and use of our foundation of green chemicals! (Of course, they are a trade secret.) These factors enable us to truly and durably restore the beauty of your woodwork and guarantee it without the mess, smell and expense of stripping or sanding! Four Step Process 1. Cleaning: Our trained servicemen remove all grease, oil, food & smudges left behind from cooking & oiling the woodwork. This is accomplished with a pleasant smelling industrial grade citrus product and LOTS OF ELBOW GREASE. This step will microscopically etch your original finish assuring adhesion of our finish. 2. Repair: Damage from nicks and scratches, peeling or flaking from water and heat are touched up or filled in with appropriate stains, colors & wood fillers. 3. If your finish has peeled off or has been steamed away an extremely durable finish is applied in those areas to build it up and to assure a strong foundation. 4. Gleam Guard Protective Shield: We apply six to eight coats of our final finish formula to protect and restore a “like new” & lasting appearance. (Our finish is unlike anything you’ve seen or worked with. It doesn't yellow, it doesn't smell and it dries incredibly fast and it's super easy to keep clean.)

We offer a wide range of services from building a fence to fixing that leaky faucet to a full renovation or if you want to build a new home we can help . From planing to building we are the full-service company for your home. Ask about out 100% satisfaction guarantee today.

"Randolph Development (D&D Cabinetry) were perhaps the best part of our entire new home construction. Dan and Danielle Randolph were able to see the vision that we had for our home and they gave creative input that made for a very unique set of custom cabinets! They operate with the utmost attention to detail--we are so pleased with the work they've done for us! Not only did they build the cabinets that we wanted, they also took on some "unfinished" projects that we needed for our new home--fixing a set of antique corbels that we wanted to use on our covered back porch, they also converted an antique fireplace mantel into a beautiful built-in book case that is in the center of our home. We have enjoyed every moment of our involvement with this company...so much so, that we have added a few more jobs to their work list! (Wish is was possible to submit photos of the work they've done for us...although I'm not sure photos would do them justice) Call them if you are looking for professionalism, courtesy, attention to detail, unique design, quality construction and materials, and timely work completion!"

Cabinet Refacing and Refinishing questions, answered by experts

Removing the original paint or stain before refinishing is a good idea, as it ensures the new finish bonds strongly to the wood. If you skip the stripping or sanding step, the new finish may peel or flake away from the railing easily. Using a wood stripper will completely remove the old stain or paint while sanding will help to prime the surface.

Yes, kitchen cabinets need two coats of paint to achieve a smooth, durable, and uniform finish. The first coat provides a base and may reveal imperfections, while the second coat ensures complete coverage and enhances the color's richness. Applying two coats helps improve the paint's durability, making it more resistant to chipping and wear. Sometimes, a third coat may be necessary for darker colors or cabinets made of a particularly porous material.

First, start with any planned structural changes. That includes demolition and installing new gas lines, piping, or lighting. From there, complete any projects that require a lot of construction to install. Paint your walls while the space is mostly empty, install the cabinets before the countertops to ensure the former doesn’t get damaged, and save all cosmetic changes (like installing new light fixtures or hardware) for the very last moment.

Most professionally-manufactured outdoor cabinets are already weatherproof. Perform regular maintenance and cover your cabinets in the winter to provide even more protection. Wood cabinets are the most vulnerable to damage from weather, but you can prevent damage by applying a sealant or varnish. Reapply as needed based on recommendations for the type of wood and level of wear.

Technically, you can paint over stained cabinets without sanding. There are specialty paints that are made precisely for not sanding cabinets. However, many interior cabinet paints work just as well.

To make sure you have a smooth surface without sanding, you’ll need to degrease the cabinets thoroughly, add a bonding coat for strength, add primer, and then finally paint your cabinets. It’s still a process regardless of whether you sand your cabinets.
