As of right now it is just myself (Jon) owning and operating Scherbing metal works. I have 10+ years of experience in welding and fabrication, graduated from st. Cloud technical and community College with a welding and fabrication degree. Worked in a couple manufacturing facilities over the years, mostly structural steel and some food grade stainless steel. My company is specializes in crane services, residential and commercial steel erection, and all home improvement projects such as deck building, bathroom and kitchen remodeling, trim work, and small electrical and plumbing projects, my rates are by the hour and depend on the project. I currently have 4 employees but have had as many as 70. My billing process is to receive payment as soon as work is completed.

You should not do your own welding unless you have the proper training and experience. Most home electrical systems can only handle MIG welding, which creates weaker bonds than TIG welding and won’t work on certain metals or metal thicknesses. Both welding forms usually require the use of shielding gas, which can be dangerous to store at home. Additionally, welding machines create temperatures of over 3,000 degrees, and the sparks can blind you if you don’t have the proper equipment.
