"I received a recent appraisal from Ronald Retzer at BCL Appraisals. While the market is, not arguably, rapidly growing values, Ron decided to take it upon himself to manipulate the market. This is, from his standpoint, a reasonable thing for him to do, and who am I to say that it isn't? No one. The problem I have is the methodology in which Ron is going about this. We received the appraisal within the legal timing (2 weeks from request submission), we submitted a rebuttal due to the (only, usually 5) 3 comps being significantly different and far away (the closest was ~8 miles away). This rebuttal took him SIX days to respond to only to not budge an inch on his 9% low appraisal. If I could write a worse review of how unprofessional that behavior is I would. The appraisal was way out of line with the market and could devastate a real estate deal but the professionalism and lack of urgency are egregious and unacceptable."
