I hardly use dry cleaners any more, so I looked through a coupon book I recieved in the mail and saw Bloomington Cleaners. I vaguely remembered a friend used to go their for dress shirts. I brought in 3 winter jackets to be cleaned. I should have done it in the spring but waited until it was already cold out. I sure was glad they offered next day service! I was greeted and treated very graciously. I pointed out that the cuffs were somewhat pilled. I recieved my coats back the next business day. My goodness, they looked brand new! The pilling was gone from the cuffs and the colors looked so much brighter. And even more importantly . . . NO DRY CLEANING SOLVENT SMELL!! I was so pleased that I actually am taking time out to comment. It's businesses like Bloomington Cleaners that keep the small business community alive and well-respected in Bloomington. I will definitely be bringing my dry cleaning to them in the future.

I was greeted promptly and professionally. My clothes were sorted and the spots were marked for cleaning. I could have had the clothes returned the next day, but that was not important to me on this trip. I was tired of getting a bunch of clothes back with the tickets on the hanger telling me they could not remove the spots. When I picked up the clothes, they had been able to get most of the spots out. The clothes were fresh, well-pressed and clean. It also made me feel good that the shop is eco-friendly and that they do the work right on the same premises.

Dropped off my order with a man working the front desk. He assured me that even though I was using a VIP bag, they would look at each garment and process according. When I picked up my order and paid, since you don't get a receipt when you use a VIP bag to drop off, I then realized that they dry cleaned 3 of the shirts which could of been laundered. Also, they did not process the 30% off coupon for dry cleaning which I presented at time of drop off. Even if I let the mistake of dry clean verses laundry be forgotten, my bill was still around $20 more then it should of been. This is now the 3rd time they have forgotten the % off. With the mistakes this company makes at the front desk, they have now lost a frequent customer.

I have been using this cleaners for a few years. They always have things done on time and things look good. No problems with Dry Cleaning of dress pants or shirt laundering.

I had never used this dry cleaner before, but they're close to my home and I had read that they use more green friendly solvents, so I tried them. When I walked in, the man behind the counter ignored me. I was the only customer. When you pass over their threshold a bell rings, so I know he heard me. I stood there for a full minute before he said he'd be with me in a minute. He appeared to be stitching a garment while standing at the front counter. When he did take the silk blouse I needed cleaned, he never said a word to me, other than to say when the garment would be ready. Another customer came in, and I left. When I returned a week or so later to pick up the blouse, I walked in (the doors were all wide open) and didn't see anyone anywhere. I stood there for a couple minutes looking around for someone. There was no bell on the counter to ring like you see in some shops. So, after waiting for a while, I said, "Hello?" and waited for a response. A woman came out from the back room shouting at me "I yelled that I'd be a minute!". Shocked, I replied that I hadn't heard her. She said "I guess I don't yell loud enough." She grumbled about being in the restroom and the only one there and seemed disgusted with me. She took my money, then talked with the man who had just come in. After yelling at me, she never once looked at me, and of course, she didn't thank me. To top it off, when I got home, I took the blouse off the hanger to find streaks on the back that weren't there when I took it in. I'm definitely not going back there to have them fix it! I'll find a dry cleaner who appreciates my business.

The clerk we dropped off the items with was knowledgeable and charged us the lowest fee for cleaning the dress. When we came back to pick up the items, I believe the owner waited on us. He seemed angry and hostile, acting like we were bothering him and wasting his time (there was no other customers in the store). When I got the items home, the tie didn't even look like it had been cleaned because all the stains were still there. If they couldn't get the stains out, I would have appreciated them showing me the tie and explaining that to me. Sticking it on a hanger and pretending the stains came out is not okay. I'm not going to even bother bringing the tie back to them. I'll just take it somewhere else and have them clean it for me.
