"Tyler is an exceptional tile setter who exceeded our expectations in every way. His craftsmanship and attention to detail are unmatched. From the start, Tyler was professional, punctual, and dedicated to delivering high-quality work. He took the time to understand our vision and offered valuable design suggestions that improved the final result. His precision, especially around tricky corners, was impressive, and he maintained a clean workspace throughout the project. The tiles were laid perfectly, with even grout lines and flawless cuts. Tyler’s communication was clear, keeping us informed at every step, making the process stress-free. We highly recommend Tyler for his skill, professionalism, and outstanding customer service. We couldn't be happier with the beautifully tiled space he created!"

"Casey, did an amazing job of replacing our front deck and railing. He cleaned up the area when finished and hauled the old materials away. He is very reasonably priced and his quality of workmanship was excellent!"

"We had Garden Structures & More add onto the beautiful privacy fence they had previously built for us, and we couldn't be happier with the final result. Our new and improved fence is even better than we had envisioned due to owner/designer/craftsman Hal's excellent ideas. All work was completed in a timely and professional manner. We truly enjoyed working with Hal and wouldn't hesitate to have him do our next home project. "

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Installations typically take 1-3 days, depending on area size; repairs are usually completed sooner if the issue is localized.

Yes, tiling a bathroom is a great way to boost your home's value, especially if you are replacing old or dated flooring. Adding a new tile floor can deliver a return on investment (ROI) of around 56.4%, with some projects offering up to 100% ROI. Buyers appreciate new tile because it provides a modern look and is known for being durable, water-resistant, low-maintenance, and easy to clean. For the best results and highest return, consider hiring a professional, as tiling mistakes can be very noticeable and detract from the value.

You can technically install tile over tile, but we don’t suggest it. Installing tile over any surface that isn’t a completely flat and prepared subfloor will result in a shoddy overall job, uneven flooring, tiles that don’t adhere, extra weight, gaps, cracks, and room for moisture and dirt to enter. For the best results, only install new tile on a flat, sanded surface like subflooring or concrete that is prepared for tile.

If you have asbestos tile and would rather tile over it than remove it, or if your existing tile is completely flat and bonded tightly to the floor, you may be able to tile over existing tile. But experts recommend thinking twice before you do.

Yes, but you should only put tile directly on drywall in smaller areas that don’t experience excess moisture. For example, a small kitchen tile backsplash could work, but installing tile directly on the drywall in a bathroom or other chronically damp area is not a good idea. Either way, a cement backer board is a far more reliable solution, as drywall is susceptible to moisture and can warp or cause your tiles to crack.

The difference between floor and wall tiles is that floor tiles generally have higher strength and porosity ratings than wall tiles. Wall tiles are typically weaker and more likely to crack or become damaged under sustained pressure like high foot traffic.

For this reason, avoid using wall tiles on floors and vice versa.
