Thor Electric

We had 60 amp service and they upgraded it to 100 amp service. It was fast and it was good though. They did a good job.

We had a little scheduling confusion and the electrician showed up about 4 hours later than expected. He apologized and got right to the job, discovering a few things that weren't on the estimate and a few things that were more complicated than anticipated. My wife and I hung around the house to make sure he knew where everything was and pointed out a couple of things the buyers' inspector had noted. After an hour or so, we left him to the job and when we came back, 3 hours later, he was about half finished. All of the repairs that had been quoted on had been done exceptionally well and he clearly had the rest of the work in hand. I am absolutely impressed with Thor Electric. Since he had a couple of hours (or more) left to finish the job and it was late, we left for home with instructions for the electrician to simply lock up the house when he finished. I know how this kind of work goes and I know how badly estimates can work out for either side of the transaction. However, when the electronic bill arrived today for exactly the estimated cost, $830, my expectations for Thor Electric were drastically exceeded. Great company! I can't recommend them strongly enough.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Realizing I wouldn't be happy with a fixture where we thought would be the only place it could go, he took the time to devise a way to put the ceiling fixture exactly where I had hoped it would go. Everything went well.

We got lots of estimates for this job because it was a big job. The main reason we chose them was because their price was way better than anyone else. They got everything done on time and we were happy with that. The price was really great, but you have to follow up with them a lot. They aren't the best in responding, although I know it was a busy time of the year for them, and they are a small company. That was the only annoying thing for me. They were on time.

Very easy to communicate with Kyle via email, voice and text. I called him late Tuesday and they arrived as promised at 9:00am on Thursday. Kyle and his assistant were pleasant, friendly and professional. Kyle also installed the cooktop and wired it up - a bonus for us. The work was of the highest quality and and reasonably priced. It is always good to have a contractor that you can count on.

They showed on time, did the work as promised, and made the entire project enjoyable from start to finish.

Overall, I was very pleased with Kyle and Thor Electric. I called him on a Wednesday and he came by Thursday morning. I had shared that I was having people over Thursday evening and was excited that he accommodated me. This is the first time as a new homeowner that I had to call an electrician and I will use Kyle moving forward. As a South Metro resident, I would highly recommend reaching out to Kyle to address your electrical concerns.

I had cont acted Thor Electric earlier in the day and talked with Kyle about the situation that was happening with the master circuit breaker. I also mentioned a different electrical company had taken a look earlier in the day, and quoted me a very high price. Kyle wanted to make sure he understood the problem, so he stopped by later that afternoon to look at the issue before making any decisions on how to move forward. It was good that he did that because the original plan would not have worked. Once he was able to determine the problem and a solution, he got on the phone right away with suppliers to find what he needed (which wasn't easy). By the time he left that evening, the part was ordered and he came back the next evening to replace and fix the issue. Unfortunately, because of circumstances outside of his and my control, the issue wasn't simple to fix, but he made sure to figure it out and get my electricity working ASAP. I will use Kyle and Thor Electric in the future for any electrical needs.

We are selling our house and the buyer requested several changes due to small matters from the inspector's report. It was essential to have the work done correctly by a licensed and professional electrician and to have it done in a timely fashion so as to not delay the closing of this sale. Thor Electric met both criteria--the electrician even went beyond the issues on the list and found a faulty GFCI outlet that the inspector had missed. He was on time when he said he would be there and finished the job quickly. We were very happy with the result!

Kyle patiently explained everything and provided options and kept to all cost estimates. He completed all the work on time and was very fair in price and friendly and professional to deal with. This is the type of business man I like to work with. Kyle is very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I am already thinking of other electrical projects I want to have him do. Wonderful! He was here exactly when he said he would be. He took the time to do everything very nicely. He even stayed late to finish, so that we could have light in the bathroom. He was super nice and very efficient. I'm a picky customer, and I could not have been more pleased with the whole service!

I chose chose this provider because he said he said( and confirmed) he was knowledgeable about old houses. I was very disappointed when they showed up prepared to do only 1/4 items : the door bell. For the others: it is ok for kitchen switch to arc when turned off or on Brought no switches to repair hall, but would come back Thinks bathroom sockets are too old; must replace fixtures Perhaps this is the correct solution, but at $40 trip charge I was not interested in 3 more trips The work was ok, but I expected all the issues to be addressed. Kyle did not show up on our originally scheduled date, so I phoned him 45 minutes after he was supposed to arrive and he explained that he had an issue with childcare and would not be able to keep our appointment. He apologized for the inconvenience and offered to come the next day, which was a Saturday. He was there right on time and performed all the work we requested. He was very knowledgeable and professional and the fan looks great!!! He also gave us an estimate on another electrical job we want to complete in the future. We would definitely hire him again!

The electrician from THOR Electric went out of his way to make sure that some very fussy light fixtures were installed correctly. He was able to trouble shoot and do a far better job than the handymen who had tried to install the lights before him.

Very helpful, had experience with old houses that still had some nob & tube wiring. Also helped with some unplanned work that we wer going to find another contractor to work on. They were able to get it all done.

We contacted Thor Electric regarding some supplemental wiring we wanted done in our house. Our phone call was returned by Kyle within a couple of days even theough there had been a major power outage in Minneapolis/St. Paul. He scheduled a time within the week to come to our home and provide an estimate. When he cam out with his asistant Eric, he was coureous and friendly. He gave us the estimate and was able to do the wiring in that same visit. We are very happy with the service that Kyle of Thor Electric provided.
