Grew up as a rural, SW Minnesota farm boy. Husband, Dad, Pastor, Coffeehouse Owner, and All-Around Repair Man. Will work hard with character, integrity, and honesty. I'll fix it, clean it, remove it and get out of your way for you to enjoy your day or evening again, with your family, friends, and loved ones.\n\nQuick fixes, stressful messes, and leftover junk and demo work is what I love to help with. Depending on the size of the project, it may take me a few days, but it will all be done with as much excellence as possible.

"Getting the equipment ordered and sent went great. Price was good. Setup was easy. However, I discussed with them my concern that I would not be able to hear the alarm go off on my second floor and they assured me that would be a problem and if it was we could expand the system to cover it. Well when the alarm goes out it can't be heard through closed bedroom doors. I called them to expand the system and was told they did offer a second keypad/alarm siren separate from the original system so I would have to order one through another source such as amazon and sent me a list of compatible alarm sirens that would work with my system. However, all of them but one comes with a very bright strobe light that goes off with the alarm which I do not want. the only one that does not come with a strobe light can only be ordered via a large quantity pack which is expensive so I am having to explore other options which is frustrating. I had ADT in the past and was happy with them in Atlanta but when I moved to Macon and went to continue to use them it was a disaster so we decided to go with a different system with the new house. Another issue is that Frontpoint does not seem to respond as quickly to alarms as ADT did which is a concern. Overall I prefer Frontpoint to ADT but it definitely has some weaknesses. Cost of service I list is for initial system. Does not include monthly monitoring fees."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, and they do it exceptionally well. Heated roof cables have two purposes: melting snow and preventing ice buildup. Ice damming happens when ice forms on the roof (usually where the roof meets the gutter) and melts stubbornly slowly, causing moisture to enter the roof itself and, therefore, the home.

If you’re painting your home or monitoring a job as it’s being completed, squash the issue ASAP if you notice paint is getting onto the roof. Keeping it clean is one of the keys to extending your roof’s life.

Removing latex paint before it dries is much easier and lowers the risk of damaging your shingles (more on that below). Simply spray the spot with a hose for one to two minutes to clear away the drying paint. In general, this is a good way to remove ugly stains from your roof without using chemicals.

Risks include slipping, shingle damage, or chemical misuse. Professionals ensure safety and proper procedures to minimize these hazards.

Moss grows in dark areas of roofs, including in corners and gutters. If left alone, it can grow under roofing and cause permanent damage. Here’s how to remove moss from metal roofs

  • Soak the moss to soften it

  • Scrub it away with a soft-bristled brush, or pick it off with your hands (be sure to wear gloves)

  • Use a moss remover that’s compatible with metal roofing, following the manufacturer’s directions

  • Remove dead moss and rinse the roof thoroughly

  • Prevent future moss growth by trimming branches, cleaning gutters, and attaching zinc strips to moss-prone areas

Generally, snow removal from a roof should occur once over six inches of snow accumulates, especially if you notice that ice dams have formed. Without ice dams, you can let the snow accumulation hit 12 inches before removing it. However, the amount of snow that is too much for your roof also depends on the sturdiness of your roof and the compactness of the snow. If your roof needs maintenance or has structural issues, it’s best not to let the snow accumulate too much for fear of collapsing.
