"Repair Clinic sent me a water intake valve that had some scuff marks and an unnecessary fixture (which I thought nothing of, assuming it had been removed from a new dishwasher). When the part did not fix my dishwasher's issue, I ordered a circulation pump, which also failed to fix the issue, so I decided to return both parts. Repair Clinic blamed me for the scuff marks and extra fixture, which is unacceptable. They referenced their return policy which states that parts which have been installed cannot be returned, and denied me any form of refund. For all I know, the water intake valve was defective, and I have no recourse. Don't put any stock in the "No-Hassle 365-Day Returns" they proudly tout on their homepage. Instead, expect finger-pointing and uncaring dismissal. You are better off with one of their many competitors."

"Two big decrepit trees need to be removed. Appointment was made; price agreed on. Ryan did a fantastic job, working in somewhat tight quarters. Left a very small footprint and did a good job of cleanup afterword. Friendly and professional outfit to deal with. Very reasonable. "This company took advantage of my elderly parents and has provided extremely poor customer service. The initial installation of gutter covers was done poorly, and when a technician returned to "fix" the problem, the fix was caused even more damage to the existing gutters and shingles. My mother, who has Alzheimer's was asked to sign documentation that the work was completed to her satisfaction. At the 5th visit from a technician to address the concerns, the tech said that job was done so poorly that it all needed to come down and get redone, including the existing gutters. I called this company several times over several to help address the situation and never once received a call back. Only after I filed a BBB complaint did my father receive a call when he was asked if the company could come back out and fix it. He declined and so they considered it resolved."

If it’s been a few weeks and you haven’t seen anything pop up, double-check your seed packet and make sure you didn’t miss any steps. Did they need cold stratification (putting seeds in the freezer and then transferring to water before planting)? Do they have an exceptionally long germination period? 

 If you’ve followed all of the directions closely, you may just have had a bad batch of seeds. (Sadly, it happens.)

You can try that, but it isn't likely to yield results. It's like watering potted plants without putting the seeds in. Most of the tossed grass seeds sit on top of the soil or existing grass blades and never germinate. The seeds need to make it into the soil, just like growing a potted plant. The best way to accomplish this is to aerate your lawn first, then overseed.

Don't pick up or dispose of aeration plugs. They will break down by themselves in one or two weeks. Rainfall will speed this up, as will watering the lawn. Mowing helps, but don't mow the grass too soon post-aeration. It's unusual that the plugs would remain after three or four weeks, but mowing and raking will break them down by that point.

Lawn care is tough work—even when you hire pros, there’s no guarantee your grass won’t die (unless, of course, your company offers a guarantee). But lawn care companies don’t control the rain or watering restrictions. Your type of grass also impacts the type of care required to keep a lush lawn—and how much that care costs.
