I am an organic practicing Michigan State University trained master gardener based in Lexington Michigan with a service area from Macomb County to the Harbor Beach. I specialize in landscape design, planting, property cleanup, trimming/pruning, consulting and estate management. I can do projects from planting a tree to creating spectacular flower beds and elaborate landscapes for your home and business. If your needs are that of highly skilled work and a strong knowledge of horticulture I can certainly be of assistance. Green in the Thumb was founded in 2023 based on my passion and after my retirement in doing automotive design for a lifetyme. My horticultural knowledge stems from generations of family practice and formal training.

However, if the tree is leaning towards the direction of the notch, it can be cut more shallowly—at as little as 10% of the depth. When the tree is leaning away from the direction it needs to be felled, you can cut deeper, closer to 30%.
