Kevon and his two workers were excellent. All details on steps being taken were clearly explained. All carpeting was protected from the front door to the work area in the family room. All debris was removed from the job site. This was a big job that took two days to complete. Am following the recommended wait time and break in steps to be taken. It is comforting to know that we have a completely safe fireplace that is up to code. Looking forward on having Doctor Flue perform annual chimney sweeps during the off season. In the firebox completely removed fire brick from back and both side walls. completely removed clay flue and replaced with insulated stainless steel. This included adding a lever operated lock top damper and stainless-steel exterior flue cap. Much time was spent adding chamber tech 2000 parge coating to the smoke chamber. Kevon and his two workers were excellent. All details on steps being taken were clearly explained. All carpeting was protected from the front door to the work area in the family room. All debris was removed from the job site. This was a big job that took two days to complete. Am following the recommended wait time and break in steps to be taken. It is comforting to know that we have a completely safe fireplace that is up to code. Looking forward on having Doctor Flue perform annual chimney sweeps during the off season. We had a few teething issues and problems and I nearly lost the faith, so when I woke up this morning with no heat at all I was at my wits end. Jon responded immediately to my somewhat emotional voice message and had a senior tech at the house in less than an hour. He found the problem (manufacturer hadn’t tightened a valve and water and electrics don’t mix) grabbed the part and fixed it within a couple of hours. All under warranty and no charge. It’s impossible to say how grateful I am without getting emotional again! :D Thank you to the team at J Goods. I highly recommend them."
