A service provider will contact you within 24 hours to set up an appointment. I've found most of the time the contractor will contact you the same day and service call is usually set up for the next day. I have never been disappointed with a contractor sent by American Home Shield. They are all courteous and the jobs performed to my satisfaction. Depending on the problem and the item being fixed they will either repair or replace at their discretion. I've had a faucet replaced and another faucet fixed when it was just a cartridge problem. When my microwave oven stopped working it was determined it could not be fixed and they would replace. The oven they selected for replacement was a very nice top of the line microwave. They will tell you what appliance they are going to supply. After reviewing the specifications for the microwave I decided it was a little bigger for the space I had. I selected another oven, a Samsung, and it was approved and installed with no problems. I have never had any problems with American home shield and I know I can always get a licensed and insured provider. I would definitely recommend them. "
