"They stained my cedar siding and painted the vinyl addition. They taped things off nicely and even painted a spot that was missed high up previously. I am having them back to do some interior painting! Looks great!!"

"Doni was communicative, professional, attentive to details. He spent all the time I needed to talk about color choices and was meticulous with trim and edges and areas needing extra attention. I would hire him for any project we have."

Small jobs welcome

"I would highly recommend this for exterior paint jobs. Keenan (owner) was professional, thorough, and detail oriented. He promptly responds to text messages and accommodates last minute changes. My wife and I are so pleased with the result. He replaced rotting boards, sanded and caulked, masked, and painted our trim, shutters, door, and shakes. As a comparison, we had our house painted a few years ago by another company and the quality of the workmanship by Keenan is far superior. I wish I had “before” pictures. Best of all, his pricing was extremely competitive. I would definitely use his company for future projects, including interior renovations based on this experience."

"Their work was beautiful. They did a great job. Tony was the one I speak for. He was excellent, nice, and did a walk around the time that works for me. When I called up and asked for an estimate, I was not ready for them to do the work yet and I just called them on the time when I was ready for them to paint. They did a beautiful and excellent job. I would recommend them to my family and friends."

We used oil on the glossy columns because that's what they used when they built the home.

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible but presents risks of uneven surfaces or improper adhesion; professionals offer expertise to ensure a lasting finish.

The opposite is actually true: Wood stains tend to appear lighter when they’re fully dry. However, stains may darken as they weather and oxidize with age. Stains might also darken on surfaces left in direct sunlight, as UV rays can break down pigment particles and cause them to darken over time.

A properly applied coat of stain will last between 3 and 8 years, depending on your climate. If you live in a place where your fence experiences a lot of moisture or high heat, your stain will last for a shorter period than in more temperate conditions. We recommend reapplying stain every 3 to 5 years to keep your wood in good condition.

When staining a deck, don’t skip surface prep, avoid staining damp or dirty boards, and don’t apply stain in extreme heat, cold, or wet conditions. Never overload the wood with a stain, as too much can cause tackiness or peeling. Also, don’t forget to test a small area first to ensure the color and finish look right.

Beyond liquid rubber, homeowners can use sealants, stains, membranes, or tapes as waterproofing options. Oil-based or water-based sealants soak into the wood, creating a moisture-resistant barrier. Waterproofing stains—available in transparent, semi-transparent, and solid colors—add both protection and style to your deck. For heavy-duty waterproofing, deck membranes and waterproof tapes can be applied under the deck boards to direct water away from the structure below. Whatever method you choose, clean and prep the deck first to ensure the best, longest-lasting results.
