Lawn mowing, weed whacking or those odd and ends around the house. If you need something else, please call and let's see what I can do! Thank you for your time, and nobody will beat me on price! Have a GREAT day!

"They came and looked at what I needed done. Someone else called with an estimate. They were not prompt in getting to the job. The men who came and did the work were friendly and courteous but did not have direction to do everything that had been discussed and supposedly estimated. Then when the bill came it was for way more than had been estimated. I would not hire them again nor recommend them."

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

The hydroseed mix—known as a slurry—helps grass seed take root in many ways. Water combines with the mulch, allowing the grass seed to stay moist while grounded in the soil. The extra fertilizer then provides the boost the seed needs to flourish. In just a few weeks, you'll be ready to break out the lawnmower again.

Vinegar cannot tell the difference between weeds and desired grass types; it kills everything it touches. Only use a vinegar or vinegar-based solution if you are relatively confident that you can navigate around the plants and grasses you want to keep. Also, don’t spray vinegar on a windy day, or it will blow onto other plants.

Like sugar, the common household staple baking soda has uses in the yard. Baking soda boosts your plants to resist pests, fungal growth, and more. So, baking soda is good for your plants in certain instances, but exercise caution, as using too much could kill your plants. It’s great for hunting for pesky weeds, but not great for tending to a sensitive garden.

There are a few things you should ask a weed service company before hiring to ensure you’re choosing the best professional for the job:

  • How often will you apply herbicides?

  • Do you include any spot treatments or manual weed removal in your pricing?

  • Do you offer pet-safe and kid-safe herbicides?

  • What other lawn services can you provide?

  • Do you offer any kind of guarantee for the work performed?

  • Are you properly licensed and fully insured?

  • Do you have any customer references I could speak with?

There are several ways to kill poison ivy permanently. The trick is to keep it from coming back. Herbicides and natural remedies are highly effective for killing existing poison ivy plants. However, plant and root parts left behind can easily create new sprouts that turn into full-grown plants. The only way to permanently get rid of poison ivy is to be patient and diligent until all traces of the plant are dead and gone.
