"Our experience with Marygrove was fantastic from start to finish. We met a Marygrove representative at a home show and he demonstrated their awning and he knew all the details about what he was selling. We liked the quality of the unit and the 10-year warranty. Marygrove is a designed and made in the USA product and that sealed the deal. The sales person who came to our home was also knowledgeable and did not pressure us to buy. $100 secured our awning purchase that was delayed due to home construction projects. Marygrove checked in with occasionally to see if we were ready to have the awning installed and fortunately we were able to pull in the delivery date. The two technicians who installed the awning were on time, polite, and they assured everything was secure and level. We were trained on using the awning and what to do as the seasons changed. Now that the awning is installed, we are pleased that we made the right decision to purchase a high-quality Marygrove awning."

"Bill at Golden Needle gave us a time frame to order the replacement arms for our retractable awning and schedule installation.. We were happy he was able to fit it in that time frame. Bill was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Cory came to install the arms and adjust the awning. He could not have done a more excellent and thorough installation. He was so mannerly and friendly. Cory explained in detail what he did, told us what to do for maintenance and asked if we had any questions. He was a diligent worker with high morals. "August 31, 2020 I can't tell you how PLEASED I am to have picked Phillip Matthews from Angie's List. His company is called Elevation Contracting, out of Almont ,Michigan. Phillip is the Owner and Operator of this excellent company. I am 71 years old and widowed and live in my family's 170 year old Centennial farmhouse in Rochester Hills, Mi, With the last storm which brought the most damaging wind and rain it made an awful amount of damage to my roof and the cedar siding. Rain was coming down through my home in the dining room and making its way to my basement. I was horrified and scared. Being alone, I decided to go on Angie's List ( which I trust) and find someone who would come out and help repair my dear beloved farmhouse. I had four companies which were listed and I checked each one that I needed help. The only one I heard from immediately was Phillip Matthews from Elevation Contracting in Almont ,Mi. He was so kind and concerned and said he would be out there to quote and help me immediately. He came out and was the most professional, kind, compassionate, hard working man I have ever seen. He went on my roof and checked the damage and said don't worry I will get this taken care of for you. I wanted to cry. I had contractors before who I called out on different things which I needed help on and they were rude, cold and only cared about telling me how much all the would cost me. Phillip is so down to earth and really is a wonderful person. At 71, I can tell you his parents did a fabulous job raising him. I would recommend this gentleman at Elevation Contracting for ANY project you need completed and done correctly. I give this man the highest recommendation there is. I will use Phillip Matthews for ALL my home projects and have already recommended him to my family and friends. I am so thrilled there are still men out there in this business who will not try and cheat you, and do only what they have to and be gone. "I needed a bathroom remodel for a small bathroom. I believe Doug took on more than he could handle. He said 4 days which took 6 days. He even told me on the last day he rushed to get out of here because he was tired. Well here's what happened. He uses a lot of caulk to cover up mistakes. The caulk around the standup shower on one side is already cracking. He only put 1 coat of paint on. So you see all the brush strokes and the spots where paint comes through. I mentioned something. And no response!!! He didn't even paint the shelf's in the closet. Here's the really bad part. The TILE FLOOR!!! Omg... It is so uneven. A couple corners are sticking up. Tiles are wavy due to not being even. First week grout was cracking and was coming out in pieces. Doug is very good about responding. I text him about the problem and he came to fix it. He took a grinder to the grout and refilled it. That made it worse. Grout line's are much larger then others. Corners he tried putting grout higher to fill in. Grout is on titles in areas that I cant get off. Grout is 2 different colors in spots. Being floor so wavy he put caulk between tile and floor board to hide it on those pieces. It's a total disaster!! So I text him about it. Didn't hear from him. 3 days later text him again nothing. End of week I text him that he's left me no choice but to go to CIVIL COURT!! Boy 2 minutes later he called. I thought I was being nice by offering to buy the tile again and give him $200. Or he can pay 1/2 for someone else to do it. He said he'd get back to me. Haven't heard a word!! I'm a very easy person to get along with. Him and I got along. So I don't understand why he has an attitude. Other than he can't do it??? So CIVIL COURT I go. First time I've used Angies list. And this is a top rated Comp. I don't know????"

"I can't tell you how disappointed I am with our Renewal by Andersen LLC experience. We hired them to fix a leaking window in 2021. The day after installation, the window was leaking again. After two months of asking for someone to come assess the issue, the employee "who no longer works there" said we were sold "the wrong window". After many more months of contacting them and not hearing back, I finally got to the regional manager through LinkedIn, who offered me a new window at the discounted price of $1,800 without acknowledging the sales person's error, saying the leak "was not their fault." Now two years later, I'm still paying for a leaking window, and every time it rains, when I'm putting a bucket on the window sill, I'm reminded of what a disaster the experience was. To add insult to injury, I still get promotional mailings telling me I'm a valued customer. What a horrible experience for us as first time homeowners."
