"These guys were awesome and great to work with. They did an excellent job with the small odd jobs I needed done such as hanging trim, finishing the back of my island, putting on my toe kick, hanging and finishing a bit of dry wall. They were always in communication and came in at their quoted budget. I would recommend them for any type of job and will be reaching out to them for future jobs."

With 10 years of professional experience in the trades, I work to help homeowners maintain and beautify their spaces. My goal isn't just to finish a project; it’s to ensure you feel heard, respected, and completely satisfied with the result. "Carl from Wild Services was quick to come look at our projects and give us a quote. Originally we thought we would have to replace the outdoor faucet as the old garden hose wouldn't come off. He was able to cut it off without damaging the threads of the faucet, which saved us needing to replace it. He did that right when we was here to quote us on also installing two outside light fixtures to replace the old ones we had. He did a quick and thorough job. If we need a handiman again, my husband and I will reach out to him first. His rates are also very fair. Thanks Carl."

Handyman Services questions, answered by experts

Hiring a handyperson offers several benefits. They can save you time and hassle by completing tasks you may not have the time or experience to do yourself. A key advantage is ensuring the project is done correctly, which can prevent future issues and save money in the long run. For projects that pose safety risks, hiring an experienced professional is a much safer option. Additionally, handypeople are often more available for smaller jobs that larger contractors may not have the schedule for.

A big resounding yes, hiring a contractor is 100% worth it. They bring expertise, manage permits, coordinate professions in different trades, and help avoid costly mistakes. A pro can keep your project on budget and schedule while ensuring quality work that adds value to your home.

Many contractors prefer checks because they’re easy to track and have no associated fees. However, many also accept credit cards (though they might add a fee to cover their processing costs).

Tipping contractors, builders, or general contractors is not customary or expected. Unlike many service professions where tipping is built into the payment structure, construction professionals typically charge a full rate for their services. However, you may choose to tip a worker for exceptional service, such as if they go above and beyond, stay late to meet a deadline, or work on a holiday weekend. Before offering a tip, it's a good idea to ask about the company's policy, as some prohibit their employees from accepting gratuities. If you want to show your appreciation for a job well done without giving a cash tip, consider writing a positive online review or offering to serve as a reference for potential new customers.
