"Had a large deck stained. It did turn out nice, but issues. Late arrival few times we were here. Contract said they remove furniture, we did all but 1 thing, to heavy for us. They didn?t move it and got stain sprayed on that and other furniture that we moved. Latasha said she would come back to clean it up and replace the cushions that had stain on them. Never came back to clean that. Did replace with new cushions that do not even fit chairs. Useless. They didn?t realize cameras around. Spilled can of stain on patio, very expensive can of oil stain, neighbors heard them yelling obscene words. We walked up on this mess as they were cleaning that up, but didn?t say they spilled can. Then said we needed more. Brad was/is a great worker. Felt bad for him because he was left the first day by himself majority of day. He was meticulous about his work. Latasha popped in for an hr and left. Brad worked late and very pleasant young man."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The best way to clean outside windows is by using a garden hose. Start by spraying the windows with a high-pressure stream to clear off loose dirt and grime. Then use a mixture of hot water and dish soap and scrub the windows with a sponge. Rinse off the soapy water with the hose. Before you finish up, spray the windows with a solution of vinegar and water and wipe them down with a microfiber cloth.

In most cases, you should get your windows cleaned one to two times annually, although you might want to complete this task more often if you live in an area with heavy pollen or heavy rain or snowfall that soils your windows. It’s also a good idea to hire a professional window cleaning service if you’re listing your property, as sparkling windows will make a big difference in terms of curb appeal and, potentially, your home’s value.

Professional window cleaners typically use either a white vinegar solution or a commercial hard water stain remover to clean hard water stains on windows. A common vinegar solution for this purpose consists of one cup of white vinegar mixed with a gallon of distilled or bottled water. The pro will spray the mixture and lightly scrub the window with a scrubby pad before cleaning with a standard cleaning solution. Alternatively, they may use a commercially available hard water stain remover and a scrubby pad, followed by a complete cleaning.

Cleaning your windows not only improves your home’s curb appeal—and, therefore, property value—but it also prolongs the life of your windows. Clean windows make a big difference from the outside, so if you’re selling your home or plan on selling, window washing is an affordable way to make your home stand out. Additionally, cleaning the tracks and moving components in your window can help them last longer, potentially saving you money over time on window replacement costs and repair.

Regular cleaning and inspecting seals to prevent fogging and maintain clarity.
