"They did a test patch and decided their cleaning method would damage the upholstery. They recommended against using steam cleaning and said I needed to find a company that used a dry cleaning method. I have been unable to find one, but appreciated that after making the trip here, they were professional and declined the job - and it cost me nothing. They have integrity."

"They do a great job. They were so reasonable that it was scary.  They send me coupon with 10% or 15% off all the time. The only downside is that they clean it so well but the carpet is a little damper than places that don’t do the same cleaning.  It takes 48 hours to dry and I put a fan on it.  If you are in a rush then it might be a problem. They take all the stains out.  My sister even used them and she said for 25 years nobody could take stains off her carpets but they did.  He is really good.  The quality of the work is excellent.  It is family owned business and both father and son do a great job."

Upholstery Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, it can definitely be worth it to steam clean a couch if you have the means. Steam cleaning a couch will improve your couch’s look, remove allergens and debris, and sanitize the upholstery. If you hire a professional house cleaner, they can take care of steam cleaning a couch for you, as well as get your house cleaned and looking brand-new.

Steam and vinegar are excellent cleaners, but it’s best not to put vinegar in your steam cleaner unless explicitly approved by the manufacturer. If you don’t dilute the vinegar properly, it can damage the steam cleaner, and using a non-approved cleaning solution in the machine can void the manufacturer’s warranty.

No, you shouldn’t let dog diarrhea dry before cleaning it. While cleaning the stain when it's dried sounds less messy, it can cause more harm than good. Old stains have a chance to dry into your carpet, and the smell can go deeper into the fibers. This makes removing old dog poop more of a headache to clean than dealing with diarrhea while it’s fresh.

The drying time for a couch or other upholstered furniture after cleaning can range from 1 to 24 hours, with a common estimate being 2 to 8 hours. This duration depends on several factors, including the type of fabric, the cleaning method used (such as steam cleaning or shampooing), the size of the furniture, and the room's temperature and humidity.

To speed up the drying process, you can use fans, a heater, or a dehumidifier, and increase ventilation by opening windows. Rotating the cushions can also help ensure they dry evenly. It is crucial to wait until the furniture is completely dry before sitting on it. Using it while damp can trap moisture, potentially causing mold, mildew, unpleasant odors, dye transfer, or permanent damage to the foam cushions.

The first thing you should do when cleaning smoke damage is open all your windows to ventilate the affected area and run an air purifier with a HEPA filter. Cover your furniture and belongings to prevent soot accumulation, and vacuum any soot that’s on the floor and other surfaces. Be sure to wear a mask, gloves, and eye protection when cleaning the affected area.
