"The entire staff was friendly, curteous and professional from start to finish. They arrived promptly, worked efficiently, and answered any and all of my questions. Although our carpet wasn't able to be stretched (apparently it was installed incorrectly) they did a very thorough job cleaning them and at a reasonable rate. "Actually I was a little nervous about using Johnson's, but once I talked to Mr Johnson and he reassured me of his work, I decided to give him a try and I am glad I did. He did a very good job on my sofa and love seat. The color is a off white and I had never had it cleaned before. By the time he had finished, it looked like new again. If you or your pet are unlucky enough to enrage a skunk during extraction, don’t douse yourself in tomato juice—it only masks the odor. A more effective way to get rid of skunk smells is with a hydrogen peroxide solution which you apply to skin, pet fur, or clothing.

Smoke stains, mold spots, and general dust or dirt accumulations are addressed.

You can clean vomit stains out of a carpet by first rehydrating the stain with a solution of warm water and mild detergent. Allow the solution to penetrate the stain and break up the dried material. Afterward, blot the stain to remove it. Don’t rub, as this can damage carpet fibers and push the stain deeper. Deodorize with a vinegar solution once the stain is completely gone.

The formula for neutralizing skunk smell is one quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, ¼ cup baking soda, and one to two teaspoons of dish soap. The University of Nebraska says a chemist discovered that this mixture changes the thiols, the chemical compound that causes the odor, into acids that don’t carry a skunk smell, thus eliminating the odor.

Vinegar is acidic and makes a great cleaning agent for many items throughout the house, including some upholstery. It should not be used for any upholstery with the code S or X. It can be used for W labels. To use a vinegar solution, mix equal parts water and vinegar and blot the stain using a gentle circular motion with a clean microfibre cloth and then allow to dry completely. As with any DIY solution, test a small and inconspicuous section first.
