After three weeks and 3-6 people here on the days they were here they weren't even halfway complete, and after failing to report work through the code office, I let them go and hired Talbot & Son. Kyle and a one part time person were not only able to correct the major structural errors done by the previous contractor, but he completed the job in 8 working days. He kept me informed of every decision and gave me a heads-up when the topography would require us to modify the plan. He kept me informed with every step to make sure I understood the options. Along with painters I had earlier this spring, Kyle has the best work ethic of anyone I've ever hired. He is meticulous, honest, and extremely hard-working. We're proud to say we don't offer a catalog full of ready-made decks, patios, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, and more, nor do we charge by the square foot. Every design is one-of-a-kind and custom made for our clients.
"I highly recommend Archadeck of Central Maine. The carpenter, Garret, except for a few hours on the first carpentry day and the entire last day, worked on this by himself. He did a phenomenal job! On the last day he was joined by Preston and he did a great job as well. This project had some unique elements. First, was the slope of the ground. Second, was the design. The lower deck was designed to hold a hot tub (not shown here) to be accessed from the upper deck in the area between the two railings. One whole side of the upper deck remained without a railing as I wanted deck access to be at any point along the footpath. It'll be my task to backfill the gap between the deck surface and the footpath. Total number of days worked on this project was six (6). TJ and Jessi are easy to work with and the cost was very reasonable. We are THRILLED with the results!!"
